Live from London: British fans go wild for 'Sex and the City!'
Right now, thousands of fans are outside the Leicester Square Theatre in London for the world premiere of "Sex and the City: the Movie," and they're screaming, cheering and chanting, "We want Sarah!"
Wait 'til they see her hat.
A BBC reporter tells the Dish Rag, "This is the biggest turnout to a red carpet premiere anyone has ever seen!" Another TV reporter marveled, "Who'd have thought you'd need earplugs at a premiere?" What, they've never been to the Oscars?
TV Guide, E! Network, Extra and Access Hollywood all have TV crews there.
Word on the carpet is that Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing a green strapless Alexander McQueen gown and a Philip Treacy hat that very much looks like someone stuck a flower pot on her head.
SATC costume designer Patricia Field was asked to describe SJP's outfit: "Barbie Doll!" More like Peter Pan after he crash-landed in someone's garden.
Now Vivienne Westwood has arrived! The British designer's gown has a major role in the film. Carrie Bradshaw (a.k.a. SJP) models her gown in a fashion shoot and wears it on her "big day."
Kim Cattrall is just getting out of the limo. Kristin Davis looks gorgeous in vintage Guy Laroche and Yves Saint Laurent heels.
