Jennifer Hudson MIA from 'Sex and the City' London prem?

British fans were screaming "Jennifer! Jennifer!" and whispering "Wow, she's lost weight!" at the London "Sex and the City: the Movie" premiere today.

Problem is, that wasn't SATC costar/"Dreamgirls" songstress/Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson on the carpet. It was Destiny's Child vocalist  Kelly Rowland, looking hot in a purple satin Donna Karan dress. But the Dish Rag talked to her anyway.

"Jennifer_hudson_jpgI'm such a huge fan of the show and the girls. I'm very happy to be here tonight. These four women have done so much for your life, for my life, for showing us how important friendships are. And fashion and men of course!"

Why was she there? "I'm performing here in London, then I go to Cannes (for the film festival) later this week. I'm so excited!"

So where's Hudson, and why wasn't she at the big splashy international premiere of her first film since the wildly successful "Dreamgirls"?

"She is busy working on her new album," according to her ID-PR publicist. "She's not doing any of the international press, just the domestic."

Oh. 'Kay. Then.

So that means we'll see JHud at the New York premiere May 27 at Radio City Music Hall. Why do I think she's gonna perform, along with Fergie, that night? Just call it a hunch.

Jennifer's new album is due out Sept. 30, and a new single will be released in a few weeks.

Want to watch some of JHud and SJP in the movie? Keep reading.

There is something magical about her on film. Like with her performance in Dreamgirls...when you see her in a scene..you want to see more. SHE HAS IT.

Jennifer is the ONLY reason I am even considering seeing this film. No offense, SJP.
