Why? Well, we all have our theories.

Well, you gotta admit, the "Fear Factor" contestant made it further than most. She did the Venice and Deauville film festivals with George. And she will go down in Hollywood history as the first woman he brought to the Oscars earlier this year.
Well, sorry to hear about the split, Sarah. But there's plenty of go-go dancers always needed in Vegas. And we're all glad to have our bachelor back!

Wasn't it more like she was brought out to escort him to a few select appearances?
Although I don't get why he chose a (former?) escort to begin with, someone who complained in a whiny voice on the red carpet at the Oscars about her dress, someone Rosenfield & Associates had to work hard to whitewash her past and failed, see videos and photos.
Other than that Clooney went his own way more often than not, e.g. partying in London, NYC... and if they went out together, there were always others around.
People say he's a good actor, but he couldn't pull off "in love" with this one!
He's obviously gay. He's the new age Rock Hudson.

I cannot understand what the fuss is about. If the break up or not. They should be left alone. I really don't think anyone really cares.

yesterday, this paper was running reprints claiming she was the second coming, now you're (honestly) calling her an escort...her fifteen minutes was up long ago and so was their 'fling'. He got tired of looking like a fool.
