Lindsay Lohan will try to put sunny spin on tainted career in 'Ugly Betty' season finale.
When Britney Spears' guest starred on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" the appearance pushed the show's ratings to an all-time high.
No surprise then that another celebrity whose career is in a free fall should end up guest-starring on a series during May sweeps.
You've heard it for months, but it was finally confirmed today that Lindsay Lohan will now appear on ABC's "Ugly Betty."
Lindsay Lohan will appear on the May 22 season finale and possibly five episodes next season, according to Variety. Her first day of shooting was today (Saturday, May 3rd.)
From what we hear, she'll play a down-on-her-luck old high school pal of Betty Suarez (America Ferrera), who wasn't very nice to Betty in those days.
The deal was first floated last fall. But a sunny career touch up on a hit comedy series couldn't have come at a better time for a recovering Lindsay Lohan whose mug shot was recently used in an alcohol industry ad to symbolize those "hard-core" drunk drivers with multiple DUIs.
Good luck, LiLo. Just remember that America is the star, not you.

But, Lindsay has NO charisma whatsoever.

Lindsay Lohan is an actress with potential.
B. Spears is an entertainer, and without all the flash, glitz she would be nothing.
B. Spears needs to take notes on how C. Aguillera has maintained her stable and evolving career.
C. Aguillera is developing to be one of the great vocals of our time. She continues to grow without hoopla. She's got Grammy's and respect.

I think Lindsay Lohan has a sort of interesting appeal. She's much more organically pretty in a kate moss sort of way.
i think she can act actually after watching her in georgia rule. she is a very emotional person, and it would be nice to see her in film.
They could have a spin-off called, Really Ugly Betty, or better yet, Ugly Lindsey, and each week we could watch her consume a fifth of vodka and snort an eight ball of coke in a toilet stall at ABC studios, while her publicists run in circles.
