What made Orlando Brown want to be alone?

So where WAS Orlando Brown? And why did he go into hiding?

According to sources, he just needed some alone time.

C'mon, people! A guy can't even talk a long walk, commune with nature, get his head together without an all-points "missing person" bulletin going out?

Apparently, his vanishing act was triggered by an incident last week when he was expected to open for a headlining act at Club Tattoo in Los Angeles. But he didn't get the gig.

In the statement he released yesterday, he mentions "how we as entertainers are so disrespected at times," and continues "I felt that that was my chance to prove that I was talented and I was really excited," he continues. "When I was told that I couldn't perform ... that really hurt. ... It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to be alone."

He's apologized to and thanked his friends and fans for their support.

Brown is best known as Eddie Thomas on the Disney Channel's sitcom "That's So Raven" alongside Raven-Symone. He's reportedly working on a spinoff.

Just don't  disrespect him anymore, OK, people? The kid's sensitive.
