Where's the 'Sex and the City' movie premiere: New York or London?

So if you had to bet where "Sex and the City: The Movie" would premiere May 12, you'd probably put money on New York, right?

I mean, that's the city that never sleeps, where the HBO series was set and shot, where New York Observer columnist Candace Bushnell wrote those spicy single-life columns that the series was based on. And hey, the whole premise of the TV series was about falling in love with the Big Apple, not with a man.

But you might be wrong. The film definitely will NOT premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. But inside word is that the world premiere location could be London.

London? Not exactly the sexiest city in the world, if you ask me, and I'm half British (on me mum's side).

But New York isn't out of the running. "We are still trying to figure this all out, " an inside source says. "It changes from day to day. And it just depends on where everyone is going to be. There are way too many cooks in the kitchen right now."

All four female stars are set for radio and TV interviews at the "SATC" press junket skedded May 2-4 in New York. But that might change too. Or it might not. And there's also talk of a premiere in New York after the one in London.

The British media are already having a field day over the airbrushed images of the four female stars -- Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin (that was so not me in that video tape) Davis -- all 10 years older than they were when the series started.
