Pete Wentz denies Ashlee Simpson's preggers!
Breaking news denial! Pete Wentz sez the Us Weekly pregnancy report is hogwash.
In an e-mail Pete sent to MTV News, he denied reports that surfaced Monday , April 14, on the websites of OK! and Us magazines saying he and Ashlee Simpson, 23, are expecting their first child.
"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," wrote Pete, 28. "This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. ... I mean really, this is crazy. ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."
Asked again if he was denying reports that Simpson is pregnant, Wentz replied, "Yeah."
But, ironically, those rumors he was waiting for about this all being "just a cover," well, they're already out there. But hey, whoyagonnabelieve?
I choose Pete. He's never lied to me yet. But Us Weekly? Well, their accuracy record isn't quite that good.
