Cameron Diaz will miss her dad's humor and spirit
Cameron Diaz talks about her dad's death.
"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family," she said in a statement.
"My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts," she added.
Her father, Emilio Diaz, just 58, had a flu which then turned into pneumonia. He died Monday.
Emilio Diaz was a second generation Cuban-American who worked for an oil company. He had small part in Cameron's comic film "There's Something About Mary."
Prayers and condolences, Cameron

I just love Cameron and I know how she feels, I lost my dad 1 yr ago he was only 57. But one thing I'm sure Cameron knows is that she'll see him again as well as each of our loved ones, the main thing is not forgetting the ones God does leave us for now.
So sorry for your loss. I lost a parent last month. I know it is a very difficult time.
Too young, but I'm glad you had a great friendship. god speed, from Petawawa Ontario, Canada
