The nubile novice was shooting a short film in New York this week. She joins 11 other directors (including Woody Allen, Anthony Minghella, Brett Ratner, Zach Braff and Mira Nair) in a "New York, I Love You,"' collection of five-minute romantic films. 

Wanna bet her pal/mentor Woody wrangled this job for her?

This may be a great career move. After the dreadful reviews of "The Other Boleyn Girl," Scarlett may soon have to drop the acting gig.
