Colin Farrell: Like father, like son?

Just like Javier Bardem, Colin Farrell is also bringing his mother to the Oscars.

"She's my date. I'm trying to stave off scandal," he told Jay  Leno on his show this week.

Yeah, like that ever works. Just ask previous Oscar Mommy's Boys Matt Damon, Ryan Gosling, Adrien Brody or Leonardo DiCaprio.

But Colin's never taken his dear old Mum to any of his films with scandalous sex scenes.

"It would be uncomfortable and God forbid she may say something like, 'You're very like your father.'"
