What '30 Rock' star got lei'ed last night?

We were among those slightly confused as to why '30 Rock' star Jane Krakowski wore a Hawaiian lei necklace with her lichen green Catherine Malandrino gown last night.

Did she just fly in from Maui?

But then we realized that the lei was not a lei at all. For some reason the gown's halter strap was covered - apparently on purpose - with green, yellow and brown plastic stones or buttons or felt somethings.

In fact, it reminded us of those kiddie candy necklaces that come on elastic strings.

Please, say we're not the only people who remember those things?
