Did Clooney rub off on Brad Pitt?
News Flash: Brad Pitt is funny. I mean really funny. Deadpan funny. Either that or he got his pal George Clooney to help him write - and rehearse - the speech he gave last night about Cassie, sorry, Casey Affleck at the Hollywood Awards.
You decide. Does this sound like Brad? Or George? Or both?
He began: "When my agent first asked me if I would like to present an award to Affleck, I said,'Yeah, great! I love that guy!' and she said, 'No, it's the other one.'
"Anyway, I'm here tonight to honor two incredible performances by one man and his name is Cassie Affleck. One is in "Gone Baby Gone" and the other is "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," now playing at a theatre nowhere near you."
"I remember when I first noticed Cassie," Pitt continued. "It was at the premiere of "Ocean's 13." And I said, this guy's got talent. He's gonna do something. But it turns out that he's been around a while. He was in "Good Will Hunting!" Did you know that? I didn't. He was in "To Die For" with Nicole Kidman. I remember Joaquin. And he was also in a slew of other films that I've never heard of."
"But this did not happen overnight," Pitt deadpanned, introducing Affleck's reel. "He's been working hard to make a name for himself. So here are some highlights and some misses from the young Cassie Affleck..."
Quick, somebody cast this guy in a comedy!

Brad has always been funny. As a long time Brad Pitt fan, I can attest to that.

Are you kidding? Brad Pitt is HILARIOUS, always has been. Just watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith or Ocean's 11, I can barely look at him in those movies without cracking up.
Brad fans know that Brad has always been as funny as can be. He's just more outgoing and comfortable in public these days and it shows. He's a happy man.
Brad Pitt is tremendously funny....just look at his movie characters! Tyler Durden from FIGHT CLUB was a great mix of an unbelievable anarchist and devilish humour. His character in the movie SNATCH, the OCEANS movies, and MR & MRS. SMITH was also adorably funny! I think he vibes off others, and is 10 times as funny when he is around George Clooney and Matt Damon who are very quick witted. If you have ANY doubts as to how funny he actually is when he is truly UNSCRIPTED, please look him up on YOUTUBE under the piece he did for Jay Leno's Tonights show when he was promoting the movie SPY GAMES....the piece is hilarious!...PLEEEEEASE, check it out! WE LOVE YOU BRAD!
Check 12 monkeys... although not a comedy, his moments of insanity were very well played. Would love to see this guy in a comedy.
