Where did everybody end up last night?
Who was at HBO's party that went on until around 2 in the morning? HBO stars, sure.
But the party wasn't just for HBO alums. Showtime's Mary-Louise Parker, "The Closer" Kyra Sedgwick, "Brothers and Sisters" Emmy winner Sally Field, "The New Adventures of Old Christine" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, "Grey's Anatomy" Emmy winner Katherine Heigl, "Heroes" hottie Hayden Panettiere and "Damages" star Glenn Close also showed up.
Hayden arrived with her castmate Milo Ventimiglia. She'd wisely slipped out of her enormous empire-waist Marc Bouwer gown and into a short, shimmery bubble dress. She'd never have been able to navigate the packed party in her red-carpet gown.

Katherine Heigl kept her bare shoulders warm with a gray pashmina shawl. Proving that there will be life after "Big Love," Mary Kay Place chatted with her pal Lily Tomlin and Leslie Jordon. Both are her costars on the upcoming HBO series "12 Miles of Bad Road," written by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler rubbed her tootsies after taking off her peep-toe pumps.
"Brothers and Sisters" Emmy winner Sally Field was having a ball and didn't seem at all phased by the controversy over her bleeped acceptance statement. But she's never been one to mince words. Everyone wondered if (and many hoped) President Bush watched the Emmys....
What about the "Entourage" boys? Ari held on tight to his Emmy all night. Vince brought a new blonde. Turtle was outside smoking while Drama sat at a table full of women. Life is good.
As for DirecTV's first Emmy party across the street? The traffic wasn't quite as good as the party planners had hoped. In fact, no one deserted the HBO party for the DirecTV HD launch party. Paris Hilton arrived around 11:30, wearing a sequined short sheath. She danced to a few songs inside the deafeningly loud inflatable party space and left.
Word was the party people were "considering" giving her a big-screen TV for her brief appearance. Give the girl a TV, for crying out loud! Anyone who could last longer than 10 seconds inside that silly balloon deserves one.
