Oscar-going stars lash out!

How does an actress get noticed at the Oscars? She does what 99% of Hollywood actresses - including Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce - did this week: lay on their backs for an hour with their eyes shut tight. I know what you're thinking, dirty minds. But it's not like that.

Here's Anika Noni Rose, taking it laying down at the Frederick Fekkai Beverly Hills salon, getting Xtreme Lashes glued on. The lashes are said to last a month or more, depending on how much you shower, swim or cry. The process, which takes roughly an hour requires that you lie still with your eyes closed while a trained professional, looking through a high-powered jeweler's glass, glues miniscule hairs to your own lashes. The Xtreme lashes were the most popular beauty treatment this week at Fekkai, ranking above mani-pedis and blow-outs. But be careful, Anika. No tears of joy - or sorrow - on Sunday night.
