Are Alan and Abby the new George and Gracie?

"Little Miss Sunshine" stars Alan Arkin and Abigail Breslin took their act on the road last weekend.

When the pair accepted the Palm Springs International Film Festiva'sl annual Chairman's Vanguard Award Saturday night, Arkin told the gala-goers that "making 'Little Miss Sunshine' was a loving experience from beginning to end and there was not a second of dissension."

But when he went rambling on with "When I was a little boy," his 10-year-old costar tuggled on his sleeve and tried to grab the mike.  "I just want to say thank you for loving the picture and please let your children see it because little kids have to go with a parent to get in," said Abigail when she finally got control of the microphone.

No sign of the yellow vintage VW bus from the film. Inside sources say the cast may arrive in their movie clunker at an upcoming awards show. Will they amuse the HFPA at Monday's Golden Globes? Perhaps they're save it for the SAG awards. Nyah, my bet is they're gonna use the bleating horned bus as their Oscar limo. Now that's a photo op.

Photo Credits: "Gimme that mike, old man!" "Why you, I oughta." Abby and Adam's Vaudeville act got plenty of laughs at the PSIFF awards.
