Is Lindsay Lohan stalking Al Gore?

Al Gore may have a celebrity stalker.

It all started with the former VP/environmental activist joking about his feud with Lindsay Lohan on "The Tonight Show," telling Jay Leno, "She knows what she did" echoing Paris Hilton's line about Nicole Richie. Then the Teen Queen and the Almost President spoke briefly at GQ's Men of the Year Awards dinner after which she reportedly had a major freakout over her former assistant showing up with Jessica Biel.

Then came Lindsay's email about how Gore told her that was willing to help her improve her image. To see the entire email click here. A few days later she told People mag she's been sober for like, a whole week.

Now comes the news that Lindsay has decided to attend the Seeds of Tolerance Foundation Awards tomorrow night. The event, hosted by - surprise! - current chairman Al Gore, will take place at the Arclight Theatre and Steven Tyler, NBA player Rick Fox and Thora Birch will also be there.

"We don't really know the extent of Al and Linday's relationship, but they have been speaking," says LA- based BWR publicist Mariah O'Hara, who is handling the event. "She's confirmed to attend the event and sit in the audience."

Coincidentally, Lindsay's PR rep is also BWR, Leslie Sloane Zelnick of the New York offices. Hmmm... Do I detect PR spin at work? The event is certain to get more press attention now that Lindsay's on the list. And Lindsay's image will benefit from being seen with young people who are actually making a difference in the world by making award-winning documentaries on AIDS, Darfur, homelessness and racism. I guess its a win-win for both parties.

But here's my advice to Al: Be careful. Political power can be very seductive to young, impressionable girls. Look what happened with Bill and Monica's initially innocent relationship. Wield your power for good, not evil.
