Paris and Nicky's "Entourage" night out

"Wow, this is a lot different from the last premiere," Adrian Grenier whispered to HBO honcho Carolyn Strauss at Thursday's premiere of "Entourage." "Last time it was just three guys with Instamatics."

The Emmy-nominated series about a hot young Hollywood actor and his squabbling posse of hangers-on has officially caught on.

The press line outside the Cinerama Dome was so long that the screening was delayed by 45 minutes as stars Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Debi Mazur, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon and the incorrigible Jeremy Piven (typecast as the smarmy Ari Gold) hugged it out and coughed up well-rehearsed sound bites for TV crews and rag reporters.

Adding a surreal quality, perennial Party Girls Paris and Nicky Hilton showed up and strolled the carpet.

Apparently Nicky's still dating (and this has gotta be a Hollywood record) Connolly, despite the fact that the extra-tall blonde makes the already diminutive actor look like a Hobbit.

But the really surreal aspect was....

the big blowout multi-level post-party at the nearby Hollywood Social space. The bash was so vast, guests were handed official Party Guide maps as they entered so they wouldn't miss any of the entertaining nooks and crannies.

Even for deep-pocketed HBO, this was impressive. We're talking writhing, undulating belly dancers in the Moroccan Room. A Drag Queen Bingo Room upstairs, pool tables in the Game Room and campy Burlesque dancers doing Bettie Page poses onstage in the Velvet Room. No poles in sight. This ain't Vegas, baby. 

There were the usual after-party reserved dinner tables for the stars, but in a huge skating rink-sized ballroom, complete with Roller Derby-outfitted waitresses. In what could have been a scene from "Entourage" fashion, Paris and her new BF Kim Kardashian – daughter of O.J. Simpson's infamous lawyer Robert Kardashian and rumored new love of Mr. Nick Lachey - started text messaging the minute they sat down at Connolly's table. 

They were probably doing what a non-famous party girl in the upstairs restroom was doing: calling for back up. "You gotta get over here! The party is amazing and Adrian didn't bring a date," she whispered into her cell phone. "Meet me by the back door and I'll sneak you in with my wristband."

How totally "Entourage."
