Twitter'Six in Six': Six minor 'Lost' characters that should return in Season 6
Last time in the "Six in Six" series, I looked at a half-dozen ways in which "Lost" could lose its way in its final season. But today, we're going to take a more positive outlook and look at six minor characters we hope reappear in Season 6. With Darlton on record as saying we're going to see many long-"Lost" faces reappearing come 2010, I want to look past the obvious choices (Charlie, Claire, Boone) and examine some on the seeming periphery that might actually be more central than we thought.Before starting with the list proper, I'd like to give a shout-out to Twitter follower jasondbrown for suggesting that Seth Norris, the pilot of Oceanic 815, be on the list. While he didn't ultimately make my Top 6, it would definitely be interesting to see him again in some capacity. He could either appear 1) in an alternative timeline where Oceanic 815 lands in Los Angeles, or 2) in a Lapidus flashback that finally reveals why he didn't pilot the plane originally.
OK, onto the full list!
Richard Malkin. With Richard on my mind lately, I had to put him on this list. Plus, with the imminent return of Claire, I want to see exactly why this supposedly fake psychic 1) got a real vision, and 2) changed his mind about how Aaron should be raised. Throw in the mystery/miracle surrounding his daughter's near-death experience, and you have a character intrinsically linked with the mysteries of the Island.
Thomas. Speaking of Claire, I'd like to get another glimpse of exactly why Aaron's father split. You could chalk it up to mere jitters, but why is one of his paintings in Charles Widmore's office? Is Widmore the Vader to the Man in Black's Emperor?
Isaac of Uluru. A faith healer with an innate understanding of certain pockets of unusual power across the world, his appearance in the seemingly throwaway episode "S.O.S." is often forgotten. But in lieu of the way in which the energy under his home might be connected to that on the Island, might he be able to guide those off (such as Desmond) back to aid in the War of the Island?
Achara. I keed. I keed. Moving on.
Cindy Chandler. By this point, we have to assume that we're never going to see the children kidnapped by The Others in "The Other 48 Days." Too much real life time has passed for that too happen. But we could see the Oceanic stewardess again, and through her reappearance learn a LOT about the true nature of the mysterious group that has antagonized our protagonists for so long. Cindy flashback, anyone?
Brother Campbell. Desmond's former spiritual leader either failed him miserably or did precisely what he was meant to do. Knowing what we do now about Eloise Hawking, it's very possible that Brother Campbell did just enough to allow Desmond to fail in his quest to become a monk. It's equally possible that the appearance of Penny on the day of his expulsion threw a monkey wrench in the entire plan. In either case, with Eloise now in shambles, she might go to her old colleague for advice.
Helen Norwood. I don't care what Abaddon said: she's not dead. Chalk this up more to instinct/desire than the evidence laid before us, but do we truly know she's gone? All we have to go on are the words of a man who wanted John Locke to return to the Island more than anything. Were Helen still around, Locke's resolve might fail. The two options? Her "brain aneurysm" was a result of Faraday-esque testing, or she's still alive and well. Whether we see her again in a new flashback or if she's somehow actually alive and well in the present day, I'd love at least one more scene with her in it.
OK, so that's my personal list of ancillary characters I'd love to see next season. Who would YOU like to see?

Yes to a Cindy flashback! And I never knew Widmore had a painting by Thomas. Cool easter egg - or more?
I'll also put a vote in for Cindy. It always irked me that no one, not even Tailie Bernard, asked about Cindy or the Children when they had the opportunities with Carl, Alex, Juliet, etc ... In fact, the lack of questions directed towards Others in the Losties camp period irked me. But, I will stop being whiney. :)
I'd also like to see Boone and Shannon, Libby, and some kind of major Walt scene.
I was just thinking it's odd that there are two Richards in Lost - Richard Malkin and Richard Alpert - most shows don't do that unless it's on purpose. I mean there are still lots of names out there so why pick the same name and they are both important characters, maybe they are connected in some way. I was thinking maybe Richard Malkin is the present day Richard Alpert and the Alpert we know sort of moves through time i.e. not aging or maybe Malkin is the alternate reality version of Alpert, or maybe not even as far fetched as that. I don't know. They are just a few randomn theories I know they don't really make sense 2bh I don't really understand my silly ideas myself lol. I apologise if somebody has said this before, I try and read as many comments as I can but I don't always read tham all. Bring on Season 6 :)
Didn't we see why Thomas had left" Raised by another", he just simply didn't want to be a father. It was pretty clear..
Thomas::: I have always rewatched that scene where he leaves Claire and either its poorly acted or its very spot on -- there's the sense that his hand is being forced. And yes, Ryan, I think it's all too weird that his painting is in Widmore's office, too.
Which brings me to another thought... if Ben was acting for Jacob, then what is to say that Charles was not lured around the island and turned by the MIB and post island, haunted by him had a hand in Charles' subsequent interest in the 815ers, too?

Phil anyone? Haha, I'd love to see Richard Malkin back. There just seems to be more to the story than has been told. Hopefully, it will be tied in when they get to the Cabin Claire story. It did always annoy me too that the kids seemed to be so important and then they were just kind of forgotten. I guess we can chalk that up to just too many balls in the air...a Cindy flashback\appearence could help answer some of that. Come to think of it, did they ever explain why all the Cindy and Others were so interested in watching Jack in season 3? I'm afraid that Cindy, Brother Campbell and his picture of Eloise, and what really happened to Helen are going to be casualties of too many questions/ too little time. I guess maybe they are all up in forgotten tv characters heaven with older brother Chuck from Happy Days and Judy the younger sister from Family Matters.
Horace: I'd also kind of like to see a little more back story on Horace and whether he actually built the cabin or not and how that ended up being such a central piece in the mythology.
Pierre: I would so love to see a tie in to that comic-con video of him trying to send a message to the future along with Faraday. Don't think it will happen, but still...
I would love to see a re-appareance by all of those characters. Major props to the Cindy request. I've been calling for more info on her for quite some time now. Also, interesting thought on Helen. We really can't confirm Abbaddon was telling him the truth. And I almost forgot about Thomas, but I think I agree that Widmore may have forced his hand. Would like some confirmation though...
I want Michael and Artz back so they can be blowed up again.
