'Lost': Previewing 'This Week is Death'
We're going interactive next week here on the blog, so I need you, dear "Lost" fans, to help me structure the content. I'm proud to announce the theme for next week's entries: "This Week is Death!" But don't worry: it won't be a week's worth of morbid, depressing entries. Because death, much like life, is varied.
So I've come up with four broad categories that I'd like to look at next week.
- Most Moving Death
- Most Satisfactory Death
- Most Amusing Death
- Most "They Better Not Actually Be Dead, Damnit" Death (props to reader mri for suggesting this category)
The first category is straightforward: which death moved "Lost" fans to tears? The second looks at deaths that provided a catharsis for both in-show characters and at-home viewers. The third looks at times when Death's cold grip tickled us to no end. The fourth deals with characters in that liminal place between life and death, between this world and the next, between contract negotiations and starring roles in other shows.
So here's where you come in: I want you to nominate, NOT VOTE FOR, as many deaths in as many categories as possible. Go wild, y'all. I'll be incorporating your suggestions into my work-in-progress lists and present the Top 5 from each category next week, and allow you to vote on the winner in sexy poll form. Sound good? Good. Leave your nominations below!

This would seem obvious, but Arzt would seem to be a shoe-in for most amusing death ever (I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind seeing it under satisfying as well)
Most moving: John Locke IMO. What a scene with him and Ben.
Charlie a close second.
I agree with BR, Artz has to be most satisfactory and amusing.
Better not be dead ... depends on what happens with Jughead :)

Other Sean, I have to agree with you on the red shorts being the most amusing death. I am laughing right now just thinking about it. Sawyer: "Get back!" Bam your dead. Over and over again. What a way to eliminate having to deal with them. Too funny!
I'll try to post my nominations later if I have time.
