OK, here we are with Part Two of our exclusive interview with Young Benjamin Linus himself, Sterling Beaumon. If you missed the first part, be sure to check it out. In today's installment, Sterling shares some pretty provocative thoughts on the futures of Ben Linus and the Island. They tie in nicely with the discussions "Lost" fans have been conducting here on the blog over the past week.More »
Sterling Beaumon has been blowing away "Lost" fans with his portrayal of young Benjamin Linus. Now, his character has been apparently blown away...by Sayid. In light of these shocking developments, I had the chance to speak with Sterling about his take on acting on "Lost," the character of Ben Linus, and being at the center of one of the show's biggest cliffhangers of all time.More »
Still reeling from the shocking finale of "He's Our You"? Same here, "Lost" fans. It's not as if we had a solid grip on what was happening on the Island BEFORE that event, but now, we're more confused than ever. What will the repercussions be from Sayid shooting Young be? Well, how about asking Young Ben himself? Because that's exactly what you can do.
You just wanna talk about the ending, I know, "Lost,"
buckaroos. And trust me, I go into those last few moments in great detail. That was some juicy, shocking stuff. The rest of the episode? Not so much. I'm not a fan of episodes that reduce complex characters to one single trait, then bash us over the head over and over again how said person can never overcome that singular characteristic. More »
We're just hours away from the next episode of "Lost," entitled "He's Our You." That there is a pretty confusing title, I'll be the first to admit. It's like ABC suddenly hired Yoda to come up with episode titles. "Ah, young Shephard, return to the Island you must." Because let's face it, not even a 900-year old Jedi Master would surprise Jack and company at this point.More »
Tomorrow, I'll be unleashing a big, jam-packed version of "Letters from the Flame," in which I'll be answering a bunch of your questions about "Namaste." But today, I thought I'd try something new: amend my initial recap of the episode. It's not that I want to take the entire recap back, but there are things one can get after a few days that one cannot get in an instant, right-after-it-airs response. A typical "Lost" episode simply has too much going on to get it all first time through.More »
In short: strong, strong episode. Not epic, but expertly workman-like (as opposed to work man-like) as it set the pieces in motion for a pivotal moment upon which the history of the Island turns. I couldn't help but wonder if the Island Sun and Lapidus saw was what happens if things in the past fail; or, put another way: what happens if Cabin Christian succeeds? Heady stuff, "Lost"-aholics.More »
Well, it feels like it's been longer, "Lost" fans, but it's only been two weeks since "LaFleur" went and blew the majority of our minds. Next up? "Namaste," an episode title that hasn't had me this excited since...well, "The Life and Times of Jeremy Bentham." So, needless to say, I'm not letting the title get me overexcited. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well, call me John Locke.
As promised, here's Act 4 of our "Lost" musical, "South by South Pacific." I'll be posting the final act later in the week, so I can include a tune from this week's episode, entitled "Namaste." Tomorrow night I'll be providing a preview of that episode, but for now, enjoy some pop, 80's rock, Broadway, and even our very first TV theme.
