'Lost': Going back in style
This is pretty exciting, I must say. And yes, I'm biased, but it's pretty sweet all the same. About halfway through the We Have to Go Back series, I had an idea as how best to showcase it when all was said and done. After all, I've posted somewhere around 250 entries about Lost here on the blog since starting back in the Fall of 2007, and I didn't want all that work to simply fade in the Internet ether.
So thanks to the hard-working people here at Zap2It, I proudly present the We Have to Go Back Gallery: a handy, organized, and visually snazzy guide to every Lost episode aired to date. Not only does each page in the gallery have a shortened summary of the episode, but also a link back to my recap of said episode as well. No more lengthy search for past recaps: the gallery allows easy and instant access to any episode you want. You can view each page in the gallery in order using the arrows atop each page, or any episode you wish via the handy search bar at the bottom of each entry.
Now, while many of you read along with each subsequent recap, there are a host of people that aren't even aware of the We Have to Go Back project. Shocking, I know. But it's true. So I am enlisting your help to get the word out: alert/email/text/stalk all your Lost friends and let them know about this unique resource. They can catch up on episodes they might have forgotten and get back into the Lost frame of mind as Season 5 rapidly approaches. (Just kidding about the stalking part. Don't go all Alpert-Observing-Baby-Locke on them.)
And if you read other Lost blogs, but sure to let those sites know about the gallery as well. Yes, I know you read other Lost sites, people. Don't give me that look, I don't care. I ain't the jealous type. I'm not the be all and end all by any means when it comes to online discussion of this show. And if we can't share the gallery together...well, then, I'm gonna blog alone. (That rewrite of Jack's famous speech sounded way better in my head. Oh well, them's the breaks.)
I really think the gallery gives this site a unique set of Lost-related information you literally can't find anywhere else. I'm not saying it's BETTER than anything else, it's just unique. Other sites scoop better than this one does, and a lot of sites provide the type of spoiler information this site avoids. And people love scoops and spoilers, and I wouldn't hate on anyone who either provides them or reads them. It's just not my bag here. What I do, and what you all seem to like, is provide in-depth, pop-cultured soaked analysis of the show without taking anything TOO seriously. And the gallery shows that off in spades.
So spread the word about the gallery: I think it's an excellent resource for reliving past episodes, gaining new insight, and ultimately, gaining new readers and commenters on what's already one of the most enthusiastic, vocal, and intelligent Lost communities around. So let's encourage everyone we can to go back, just one last time, before pushing ahead to Season 5.
Ryan also posts every 108 minutes over at Boob Tube Dude, then peruses Zap2It's Guide to Lost Facebook group. He also encourages you to subscribe to the Zap2It's Guide to Lost Twitter feed. He has big plans for the group and the feed...stay tuned!

Thanks for everything Ryan ... the gallery is awesome ... great job!
Thanks. Will p*** the word along.
Now...will you package it all up on CD and sell them after the series finale? I'll want the full McGee & Friends analysis to go disc-in-disc with my Blu-Ray DVDs that I'll probably purchase years before our house upgrades our entertainment system accordingly.
Just a suggestion for your next project! (complete with podcasts, please!)
Very nice Ryan! Kudos all around for all your hard work. I enjoyed reading every single one of the recaps.
I did notice that the last episode (82) in the gallery didn't have a link to your We Have To Go Back" recap.
Again, awesome work. You put n an amazing amount of effort and I for one am very grateful.
Just wanted to let you know that it is on the IMDB Hit List for today (Wed. Jan. 14th) -> bottom of the front page.
Wow! That's incredible!
drockett. Where's drockett? (Rocketeer reference, FTW!) Anyway, that's the IMDB user who recommended this be added to the Hit List. We must track him down and flog him with accolades.
Great stuff Ryan! Every episode is easy to find and being able to click through to the full article is perfect. Pure genius.
Great job Ryan. I had already flipped through the pictures when it was posted on the home page. I just noticed your blog about it today!!! Great stuff. Kudos to you and your lovely wife!!!
