Breaking: 'Pushing Daisies,' 'Eli Stone' & 'Dirty Sexy Money' Axed?
Well, Pushing Daisies is definitely dead. Sources tell me the actors and their reps were informed today, shortly after creator Bryan Fuller got the dreaded call from network chief Steve McPherson. As for Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money, they are on life support. A DSM insider says they're technically not canceled as of yet, but the only hope they have for recovery is if everyone and their mother turns out to watch next week's new episode...

Fond Farewells, Good Friends & A Few Tears on Tonight's 'Friday Night Lights'
It's a real bitch watching Friday Night Lights without a box full of tissues sometimes... and tonight will be one of those times. A few weeks back, the show said goodbye to Smash Williams with a few poignant, emotional scenes and this evening's episode will provide a similarly worthy farewell to our boy Jason Street, aka "6".

Alright, so die-hard 24 fans are anxiously counting down the days, hours, minutes -- tick - tock - tick - tock -- till FOX's two-hour season seven prequel premieres on November 23rd. And of course, we already know a few things... mainly that Jack Bauer is working at a school in the fictional African country of Sangala when a military coup erupts. Exclusive: Heidi & Spencer To Guest Star on 'How I Met Your Mother'?!
Well, kids, have I got a story for you... seems Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of Hills fame are looking to add a few acting roles to their resume and a reliable source tells me one of our favorite sitcoms is very close to making that happen. It's a big day, people. Whether you're carving pumpkins on Halloween eve or protecting your home from the perils of Devil's Night -- sorry, that's a Detroit reference -- please don't forget to tune your TV to NBC at 9:30 p.m. because 30 Rock premieres this evening. It's on right after The Office and, you know, even if you've already peeped the episode online, just leave your set on while Liz Lemon and her merry band of misfits do their thing tonight. The Emmy-winning comedy needs your vote of confidence. Or rather, the network it airs on needs to see numbers, so support!
Exclusive: Courteney Cox & 'Scrubs'' Bill Lawrence Team Up For 'Cougar Town'
Seems Courteney Cox's guest arc on Scrubs -- which will air on ABC early next year -- went quite well. Creator and exec producer Bill Lawrence was so pleased with her performance and on-set attitude that the two are teaming up again. Sources tell me exclusively that the former Friend will star in a single- camera comedy pilot for the alphabet net, tentatively titled Cougar Town, chronicling the day-to-day exploits of a hot single mother in her 40s whose social life is in high gear. Word is, Lawrence dreamed up the concept
specifically for Cox and is currently writing the first episode.
Tattoos & Touchdowns on Tonight's 'Friday Night Lights'
You know, I sort of want to cry when I think about the small percentage of TV viewers who've discovered the genius that is Friday Night Lights. I swear, each scene is like its own little touchdown, and tonight's hour -- airing on DirecTV -- is a lovely example of that. If you're waiting till midseason to watch this stretch of episodes on NBC, you might want to skip the rest of this item. But if you're up to date and down for a sneak preview of what to expect this evening, please keep reading...

Happy Monday, mo-fos (I say that with love, of course). I thought I'd begin the week by answering a few of your burning TV questions, and letting So You Think You Can Dance/Dance Crew fans know that SYTYCD season three finalists Dominic and Hok showed up to the Los Angeles ABDC auditions with their crew, Quest, this Saturday. Word is, they killed it. Apparently, they pulled out their own banner -- which they

The internet rumors regarding the casting of Ryan Lafferty, William Walker's illegitimate son, are indeed true. 24-year-old Luke Grimes has signed on the dotted line and is now officially the newest member of the Brothers & Sisters cast. And though my friends at E! Online and EW.com were throwing his name around on Monday, Luke tells me he just found out yesterday. 'Aliens In America's' Dan Byrd To Guest on Tonight's 'Greek'

Playing Dale's "best friend" and purity pledge brother who transfers to CRU -- because his parents hope that rooming with Dale will help him clean up his pothead act -- Byrd and Duke provide several laughs tonight, so please tune in.
Exclusive: Steve Martin To Play Tina Fey's Next '30 Rock' Love Interest, John McEnroe To Return
This Fall, 30 Rock will welcome a killer line up of guest stars, kicking the party off with Megan Mullally as Liz's adoption agent in the October 30th premiere, a superb Oprah-filled half hour on November 6th, and later, appearances by Jennifer Aniston -- as Liz's old roommate who loses it for Jack -- and, of course, legend Steve Martin. NBC has stayed mum on Martin's storyline, but a well-informed mole now tells me the actor-comedian will play Liz Lemon's next love interest.
What's To Come on 'Greek': Cappie, Casey, Max & More! Plus, Your Chance To Meet The Cast
Greek came back into our living rooms to kick off season two just a couple months back and, as far as I'm concerned, has been killing it week after week. Showing no signs of a sophomore slump, the series is at its best and I can't believe it's already time for another break. In the world of CRU, Summer is upon us, and this Tuesday, we'll bid farewell to our favorite frat boys and sorority gals in a mid-season finale that changes a lot... it's Hell Week, bitches, and there are gold fish involved.

'Life on Mars': Get the Scoop on Love Interests, Secret Pasts & 70s Era Crime Solving
There are few new shows this Fall that I'm thrilled with, so it was quite a relief to find last week's Life on Mars premiere totally enjoyable. Based on a BBC series of the same name, producers are now saddled with the task of turning a 16-episode event into a long-running series. They seem to be off to a good start with really solid casting -- Jason O'Mara, Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli, Lisa Bonet, Gretchen Mol -- a classic soundtrack and cool wardrobe (diggin' O'Mara in the 70s-flavor threads and Mol in that charming, vintage police woman get-up). The overall vibe has me wondering what's to come. E.P. Josh Appelbaum was kind enough to clue me in...
Are You Going To Spend Some Time with 'Eli Stone' Tonight?
I wasn't so sure about Eli Stone right from the start. I liked the pilot, but when it premiered last January, it seemed to falter a bit. Still, I stuck with ES and came to realize the faltering was nothing more than a few bumps on the road to a really solid show. The last four episodes leading up to the season finale were fantastic, so I was pleased to see ABC would give the ratings-challenged series a second shot this Fall. And that second shot starts tonight. I've seen this evening's hour, and have to tell you that even if you haven't seen the show before, you should tune in.

Tattoos, Fatigue & Screaming Fans: Catch Up with 'So You Think You Can Dance's' Season 4 On Tour!
The So You Think You Can Dance season four tour hit Los Angeles last night and if you know how obsessed I am with the show, it'll come as no surprise that I was front and center at the Nokia Theater watching my favorite numbers -- Chelsie Hightower and Mark's "Bleeding Love," Katee and Joshua's "No Air," Katee and Joshua's Bollywood dance and Katee and Twitch's Door routine (uh, yeah, I'm a Katee fan) -- performed up close. But I wasn't alone. The loudest audience members in L.A. were no doubt judge Nigel Lythgoe and choreographer Adam Shankman who gave standing ovations like nobody's business, God bless 'em. Also spotted screaming in the crowd? Choreographers Tabitha & Napoleon, Tyce Diorio, season three stars Anya, Pasha, Lacey and Lauren, and season four's Kourtni Lind.
