Well, Pushing Daisies is definitely dead. Sources tell me the actors and their reps were informed today, shortly after creator Bryan Fuller got the dreaded call from network chief Steve McPherson. As for Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money, they are on life support. A DSM insider says they're technically not canceled as of yet, but the only hope they have for recovery is if everyone and their mother turns out to watch next week's new episode...

It's Thursday and there's a brand new Kimmie Keegan-free hour of Ugly Betty on tonight! I've got a bit of info on what's coming up and it seems like the show is about to hit this season's stride. I'm actually pretty psyched about the UB future and thought I'd answer a few of your fan questions to celebrate...

Seems Courteney Cox's guest arc on Scrubs -- which will air on ABC early next year -- went quite well. Creator and exec producer Bill Lawrence was so pleased with her performance and on-set attitude that the two are teaming up again. Sources tell me exclusively that the former Friend will star in a single- camera comedy pilot for the alphabet net, tentatively titled Cougar Town, chronicling the day-to-day exploits of a hot single mother in her 40s whose social life is in high gear. Word is, Lawrence dreamed up the concept specifically for Cox and is currently writing the first episode.

The internet rumors regarding the casting of Ryan Lafferty, William Walker's illegitimate son, are indeed true. 24-year-old Luke Grimes has signed on the dotted line and is now officially the newest member of the Brothers & Sisters cast. And though my friends at E! Online and EW.com were throwing his name around on Monday, Luke tells me he just found out yesterday. The Dayton, Ohio native was kind enough to give me his first B&S interview with a few details on what he's been through so far and what we can expect from his apparently complicated character...

There are few new shows this Fall that I'm thrilled with, so it was quite a relief to find last week's Life on Mars premiere totally enjoyable. Based on a BBC series of the same name, producers are now saddled with the task of turning a 16-episode event into a long-running series. They seem to be off to a good start with really solid casting -- Jason O'Mara, Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli, Lisa Bonet, Gretchen Mol -- a classic soundtrack and cool wardrobe (diggin' O'Mara in the 70s-flavor threads and Mol in that charming, vintage police woman get-up). The overall vibe has me wondering what's to come. E.P. Josh Appelbaum was kind enough to clue me in...

I wasn't so sure about Eli Stone right from the start. I liked the pilot, but when it premiered last January, it seemed to falter a bit. Still, I stuck with ES and came to realize the faltering was nothing more than a few bumps on the road to a really solid show. The last four episodes leading up to the season finale were fantastic, so I was pleased to see ABC would give the ratings-challenged series a second shot this Fall. And that second shot starts tonight. I've seen this evening's hour, and have to tell you that even if you haven't seen the show before, you should tune in.

Well, inside sources have now exclusively confirmed to me that McDonnell's deal is indeed done, and the Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress will be appearing on the medical rom-com as a doctor. So, Shonda Rhimes' Grey's Anatomy spin off, Private Practice, is returning next month for a second season, and though it was one of the highest rated new series of the 2007 Fall season, PP did have a few problems. The cast is first rate, sure, but I don't think I was the only person who had a hard time connecting with the various characters and story lines surrounding  the Oceanside Wellness Group.

Bill Lawrence makes dreams come true, my friends. "Appear on TV sitcom" has been on my bucket list since age four -- Yes, I had a bucket list at age four. This weekend, everything on Wisteria Lane will change. The whirlwind of information I've been hearing about Sunday's two-hour season finale is a little much: Susan and Mike may come to blows over the naming of their newly-born baby boy, one of the housewives will be arrested for child abuse, Katherine Mayfair's secrets will finally come out and someone we know well will get booted from the show. Plus, there's that whole 'flash forward' rumor which will supposedly bump the series five years into the future, where it will likely stay for good.

Despite storming out of her therapist's office last Thursday, Meredith will be badly in need of a good head shrinking tonight, as the clip below clearly shows. Also on tap? Movement in the Rebecca (aka Ava)/Alex storyline and more Burke-induced craziness from Cristina. Plus, McSteamy's giving this new anti-whore campaign his all, while Callie and Hahn grow closer.

Although we've come to the end of the Road, Josh Appelbaum, his writing partners, the viewers (me, included), we just can't let it go. Despite the team behind October Road already scoring a new gig -- running ABC's remake of the BBC's Life on Mars -- they have not forgotten their promise to give OR's dedicated fans the resolution we desire.

We've been waiting all year to see if Gio (Freddy Rodriguez, pictured left) would make a move on Betty, and now that Henry's breaking her heart -- for the time being -- there's nothing holding Gio back. Though not yet confirmed by ABC, inside sources tell me Dirty Sexy Money and Brothers & Sisters will swap time slots this Fall, giving DSM the coveted post-Desperate Housewives hour (Sundays at 10 p.m.), while B&S will likely air after Private Practice on Wednesdays at 10. Yes, PP is expected to stay put at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, while its mothership Grey's Anatomy will likely welcome a newcomer as its lead-out. Life on Mars, the sci-fi adaptation of a BBC series, is supposedly getting that spot which has been occupied by Lost over the last few weeks.

If you haven’t yet seen the season finale of Brothers & Sisters, I would advise you to stop reading now. But if you’re all caught up, there are a few things we should discuss, as last night’s hour dropped a bomb or two that could drastically change the show’s dynamics next season.

Break ups, a big reveal, a wedding, a coming-out and a corporate shake up. Brothers & Sisters has been on fire this month, returning after the strike with four end-of-season episodes that seem to be in fast-forward. A chat with "the powers that be" behind the show seemed to be in order, so I called up show runner Monica Breen, who was awesome enough to reflect with me on what's gone down and what we have to look forward to...

"October Road has been such a labor of love for everybody involved and whether it's the best show in the world or the worst show in the world, it's something everybody involved feels intimate with. One thing we won't do is let this journey, however long it lasts, end without resolution. ABC can cancel us, but they can't stop us from telling the story to the fans."

I know, I know, it's been quite some time since we hung out with Dirty Sexy Money's Darling clan, and we've still got a ways to go before we see them again, since the show won't return to ABC's schedule before Fall. However, the writers, cast and crew are currently hard at work on upcoming episodes and have been spotted shooting a pivotal scene today.
