'Grey's Anatomy': Get the early scoop on the season premiere

So, as you've probably already heard, Meredith and Izzie will be disappearing for a bit this season, but are they the only Seattle Grace staff members possibly peacing out?

And what's up on the romantic front? So many couples to keep up with: Mer-Der, Mark & Lexie, Cristina and Owen, Alex and Izzie, Callie and Arizona.

I'm not interested in new characters. I hope the develop Alex, Mark, Callie, Owen,Lexie,Chief and Arizona more and into lead roles while Ellen and Katherine are gone.

I'm looking forward to more Meredith/Derek and Mark/Lexie. And I'm betting those will be the couples catching each other in the house doing the deed.

I don't like the character of Arizone and why have the writers gone down the path of destroying the character of Callie? Is she? Isn't She?

I hated Hahn but don't think the writers have destroyed Callie. Sara R has given such a phenomenal performance and Callie only gets better. I do like her with Arizona. There is chemistry there and hope they continue with Callie's storyline path.

I hope they really return Meredith to the lead this season. She's who the story centers around. Everyone else, though important, is supporting.

As for Callie and Arizona, I like these two and their story, but they're not integral to the Grey's Anatomy story. It would be nice if they sent them off to LA. Then I might enjoy Private Practice. But Grey's is for Meredith, Derek, Cristina, Alex, Izzie, Owen, Chief, Bailey, Mark, and (less so, but she still fits with the Grey's story) Lexie.

Personally, I'm THRILLED that Izzie is taking a leave for a few epis.... I hope the writers see they don't need her and refuse to renew her contract next year. Heigl is nothing but an annoyance to the show. Also glad George is leaving... maybe the show will really get better now. Looking forward to the development of the other characters, Derek, Mark, Lexie, Callie, Bailey, Chief, Owen, Christina, etc.

Disagree with you Ginger in many ways, but agree in others. Katherine Heigl is the best thing about the show, but I also will be pleased if she is able to move on to movies. I love her on Grey's but she belongs on the big screen. I think the show will suffer from her absence.
