If you were following our Comic-Con coverage -- specifically my live blog of the "Smallville" panel -- you know convention-goers got a sneak peek at Clark Kent's Superman get-up, which he'll don this coming season.
Now, your first look (at a fan's interpretation of what we were shown)...

Tom Welling can pull off pant-less. Absolutely. Why not...
NOTE: Yes, we know this is not the "official" image of the costume, but it is definitely based on the costume shown in clips during Sunday's Comic-Con panel.

as fruity and dated as the original iconic costume is, it's still a billion times less fruity as this lame attempt to look 'edgy'. give it up already, he should have donned the cape 3 to 4 seasons ago.

That has to be fake! I mean really that costume is so LAME. Plus he already has the whole redblue blur thing going on so im sure they build off of those colors not purple. Gross!

Neat. Looks like the tailor for the Phantom, the Shadow, and Doctor Who mixed up some designs. I like it.
As much as I like purple-Not on superman. Come on now, everyone knows it must be red and blue.
He's wearing a similar costume in a trailer that was shown at the Smallville Comic-Con session. This may be a mock up (if it's from the CW, the quality os really bad!) but the costume is pretty similar. I think it will probably be red, not purple.
