Twitter'Real Housewives of New Jersey': They pay Bravo to appear on the show
Caroline, Dina, Danielle, Jacqueline and Teresa -- otherwise known as the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" -- may not be hurting for money, but did you know their participation in the Bravo reality series is pretty much nonprofit volunteer work?
According to documents obtained by Popsquire (the contract of one of the cast members), not only are the ladies not paid by the network for their appearances on the show, they actually owe Bravo 10% of "any and all gross income... unrelated to the series" that they earn for up to four years after the last original "Real Housewives of New Jersey" episode airs.
I mean...
Who is the attorney that drew this deal up?

NJ Housewives should get PAID by Bravo because they had best Housewives episodes ever! Can't wait for next season.
That is pretty smart. These ladies OF COURSE will put the fact they were on a TV show on any product, book or endorsement deal they do in the future. Bravo gets a "finder's fee." I just wish they'd quit finding them.
10% cut is RAZY. This is comparable to an agent's cut. I guess NBCU has to get income anywhere they can. Maybe they are the ones with alleged links to racketeering, not the ladies. Allegedly.

It goes to show that if you have enough money and are a big enough narcissist you too could be on TV.
So if one of them goes out and gets a job at a department store, for example, she owes Bravo a 10% cut of that? Crazy
