Mischabarton The CW's "The Beautiful Life: TBL" has had a little hiccup.

The production start date on the new fall drama about models in New York has been pushed back one week, from July 22 to the 31st, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meet the cast of The CW's "The Beautiful Life."

And no, it's not because of Mischa Barton's meltdown. Really.

Apparently, the show's sets haven't been finished yet. Oops.

Check out who Zap2it would cast as Mischa's replacement.

Okay, we can deal with incomplete sets. If that's indeed the real reason.

We're still worried that Mischa won't make it back to primetime TV though. This past week she was put under involuntary psychiatric hold, which isn't really a good sign, especially when she's had a history of personal issues and rehab.

Fingers crossed.

The curse of not putting on "Body Politic" continues!

Well if they need to write her out of the show on a temporary or permanent basis, now they have an extra week to work on the scripts.

I hope this will teach them for giving up on good shows like Veronica Mars & Reaper. But probaly not. Once Smallville and Supernatural end, the CW is toast.

Honestly, they should delay the show until midseason, much like NBC did with "Parenthood." Not only is it the sensitive way to deal with Ms. Barton's medical condition, but it also secures the business side of things as she is the series biggest star and needs to be well enough to both perform and promote the project to her fullest.

I agree with kellek, though I am not sure this is a curse. An extra week does not seem like much time for Marissa/Mischa to rest up.

Body Politic is great, though, and the CW really should jump on the opportunity to actually start a show that can carry out a full season or 13 eps or whatever.

Please NO GG spinoff. Even a 13 ep order of the Valley Girls will only drag them further down as a netlet (which they have been returned to) instead of a network.
