Twitter'Supernatural' casting sympathetic Devil
"Supernatural" fans, meet the Devil.
As first reported today by Spoiler TV, "Supernatural" is currently casting for the Devil, aka Lucifer.
We know Lucifer will show up in season 5's premiere this fall and in the third episode as well. However, the most interesting info is how the character is being described: "Male, 30s to 40s. This is the Devil. He is soft-spoken, strangely sympathetic, more vulnerable than evil. This is an amazing role that will be heavily recurring."
Sweet.

Sounds great. I would LOVEEE to see Ian McShane in the role. That guy can act boy, he was amazing in the series Kings, and he could so pull off this role.

I second wanting Gale Harold. He'd do fantastic in this type of role. Strangely sympathetic and more vulnerable than evil...Gale would be perfect for this.
I would love to see Gale Harold as the Devil in supernatural he could bring that carelessness character he potrayed as Brian Kenney
Oh God, Gale Harold would be PERFECT. Playing somebody who does unsympathetic things sympathetically is a thing he excels at. He'd be absolutely wonderful as Lucifer, the beautiful angel of light, who fell from pride and suffers eternal estrangement from God.
