Asuka We bid farewell to two more Top 20 finalists on last night's "So You Think You Can Dance" results show, and though Michael Jackson's passing prevented us from interviewing the judges after the cuts, we thought you might like to talk about their decisions anyway...

Regarding Jonathan, we get it. Though he and Karla just killed that kick-a$$ Stacey Tookey routine last week -- that will go down as one of our favorite dances of the season, no doubt -- he was seriously lacking any sort of street cred during the Dave Scott hip hop number that he and Karla performed on Wednesday. It felt like he was dragging Karla down, because her performance was actually pretty solid in our opinion.

Don't get us wrong, Jonathan is adorable and has definite talent -- really dig those flips and tumbles he does -- but he could probably use quite a bit more professional training. You may or may not already know that the kid only began dancing five short years ago...

As for Asuka, her dismissal was a surprise to us. She seemed like a judges' favorite from day one. Nigel Lythgoe said the decision to let her go was based on the fact that she wasn't growing from week to week, but we feel like that was just a colorful way of saying, well, we have to send someone home and this is the only thing we could come up with.

Thoughts?

For the first time this season, I agreed with the decision of the judges. Both dancers were talented, but they simply were not at the same level as some of the others.

there are so many talented dancers on the show this season but no standouts to me

I called Jonathan's departure on Tuesday (before they danced) and unfortunately I think that the writing was on the wall for the lovely Asuka. I'm so glad that Vitolio (and his chest!) are staying and I think that he and Karla will make an excellent combo!

I also wanted to say how amazingly cl***y and poignant Nigel's tribute to and acknowledgment of the deaths of all three iconic figures, Ed MacMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Micheal Jackson, was and applaud them for how they handled the situation.

Jonathan was clearly below par this week, and I think it was definitely his time to go.

I was a bit surprised (and pleasantly so) that Asuka went - I thought maybe since she was such a favourite with the judges (especially Nigel), they would give her another chance.

Both her and Vitolio never showed enough emotion or personality in their routines - as well, in this week's dance she seemed to be quite slow and didn't have enough energy for the routine, it seemed. I agreed with both decisions!

I called these eliminations the moment I saw the bottom three. I never understood the judge love for Asuka. Unlike the other dancers, she never seemed to show any emotion while she danced. And she seemed to drag Vitolio down. Jonathan's dfyl solo was awesome - he really incorporated both salsa, tricks and contemporary moves well - but his week to we performances weren't that great.

they're giving vitolio a chance to emote with someone else, thinking asuka hindered him.

I'm just surprised that they eliminated both of the remaining ballroom dancers. No ballroom dancers left with 6 weeks still to go. I thought that fact would save Asuka this week.
