'Curb Your Enthusiasm': Meg Ryan to guest along with 'Seinfeld' cast, but there's a catch

We're just three months away from the seventh season debut of Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the anticipation continues to build as the show has just added another big name guest star to their roster.

EW.com reports that America's rom com queen of yesteryear, Ms. Meg Ryan, will appear in an episode.

The cast of "Seinfeld," Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards, have also signed on to play themselves in a storyline that will span several eps.

This news was first reported by EW.com back in March, and was touted as the first time that all four actors will appear together in a scripted TV show since "Seinfeld" took its final bow more than a decade ago.

I am told that there is, however, a catch.

A source close to "Curb" says there isn't a single scene in the "Seinfeld" cast's entire "Curb" arc in which all four actors appear together.

So, yeah, that's not exactly the "reunion" we were expecting, is it?

Seinfeld, Louis-Dreyfus and Alexander have all made individual appearances on "Curb" -- which, of course, was created by and stars "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David -- in the past.

Thoughts?

If you don't get to see the entire ensemble together, will you be disappointed? Or does it not really matter?

That could be funny if it is a plot point. Just as soon as three get in a room, one goes out as the fourth comes in. Could be irritating for Larry and thus funny.

Not a bad idea to use this show to maybe update the fans on the cast after the terrible series finale from 10 years ago. They could make a new one on this show and really bring closure to the show.

Would love to see all four together even for one episode; to make up for their terrible finale years ago; but I'll take them anyway they're cast.

The 1998 Seinfeld finale was hardly "terrible"; It was actually a great storyline how to end the show. Having said that, it will be terrific to see the cast back together once again, regardless if they appear together in scenes or not. It COULD lead to a possible "Seinfeld" movie, which would be lovely. I wish Newman would be on, too.

Are you guys kidding? the finale was GREAT!!! everyone they ever dissed was in court! I loved it! Seinfeld reruns is the only old show ill never get tired of..I use ALOT of the lines!..still..My only problem with Curb your Enthusiam is the wait between seasons is tooooo long!!!! wth? its tv, Larry! not rocket science! that said, bring the funny@!

i must say my opinion that those who do not like the final episode, just don't get it, or get where LD and SEIN were coming from. It was brilliant and over the top and philisophically perfect...

this new curb season, though... even if they don't appear together... who cares.. i just wanna see em all there, imrovising.

can michael richards imrpov? we was always so studied.
