Can we talk about 'NYC Prep'?

Last night we got our first good look at "NYC Prep," the reality series that follows six spoiled New York teenagers around the city and, well, it made me want to throw up in my mouth a little.

Money, money, money. That's all we heard for an hour. Well, that, and then there was some business about hooking up, getting into Harvard... and, after that, more money chatter of course.

Not very compelling.

Got no problem with growing up wealthy, but when you have to talk about it constantly and put so much emphasis on how important it is, it's just not interesting anymore.

"NYC Prep" is essentially a group of "Gossip Girl" wannabes without members of the WGA to write clever dialogue for them.

Usually a big fan of Bravo shows, but this one ain't doing it for me.

I haven't watched it and wasn't planning on it, but now that I've read this, I'm even less compelled to watch it. Thank you for watching crap so we don't have to. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I suggest watching some 'Gossip Girl' to get over the horror of 'NYC Prep.'

Yeah, it was a bit much. If all you have to talk about is how much money your PARENTS have, you're a bore. Not to mention cl***less, self-absorbed, entitled, spoiled.......the list goes on. This show is really disgusting and not worth watching.

i am swimming against the tide here because i liked it. yeah the kids were kind of rotten, but that made it more fun to watch! PC was a little too much of a "poser," and one girl (his best friend) was kinda ugly and boring, but the other characters were great!

This show is made for the droves of idiots who like to watch all of the VH1 "Reality" series and the "Real Housewives" shows. If you enjoy watching jerks in their natural habitats treating other people like dirt, this is for you. If you have a conscience and people like this make you lose faith in humanity, this ain't for you and every single commercial raises your blood pressure.

I LOVED THE SHOW.

i don't watch gossip girls, the hills, or any of that new junk, but i used to watch bh 90210 and kinda got into the new one until i realized it just wasn't as good as the old one. ny prep reminded me of the old bh 90210 - total cat, with underlying feelings lying on the surface ready to get burnt because these are kids and they don't know they are playing with fire until it's too late and since it's not fiction, but real life, that makes it all the better because the stakes are ... well real $hit.

i'm not gonna hate on these kids because they have money. i was born without it. have earned a lot of it, and my family has enjoyed it. get over it.
