'Law & Order: SVU': Have Mariska & Meloni settled their contract dispute?

Mariskahargitay According to NYMag.com, the public salary squabble between "Law & Order: SVU" stars Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni and NBC has just ended.

Do they know something we don't?

In an article on, of all things, Jessica Biel's obliviousness, the website threw in a fleeting sentence suggesting negotiations are over. So, um, are they?

And how exactly did they turn out?

Positively, I would assume, from the nonchalant way the news was presented.

Or perhaps, the person who wrote the blog post is just as oblivious as Biel, making statements that aren't quite true.

But I have to assume there's something here.

Reached out to NBC for comment. Stay tuned...

UPDATE: The network says there is no truth to NYMag.com's report. So I guess negotiations continue. Again, I'll keep you updated on all developments as best I can.

I dont think they have a clue

Probably an ***umption that since "SVU" is on NBC's schedule next season the dispute was settled, but not taking into consideration the L&O franchise has replaced or supplemented their stars on the other shows numerous times.

MH deserves every penny she gets.

SVU is a good show but how will it play at 6pm wednesday against Criminal Minds Glee Hank and Cougar Town? Oh and the CW'S Beautiful Life? There are many and I'm one who is not pleased with NBC and their new network name NBC-LENO. I wish MH and CM all the best but I checked out of SVU as of this past tuesday.

Thats 9pm Wednesday Nights

Thats 9pm on Wednesday Nights

as much as mariska hargitay and chris meloni deserve every penny, HOW is it okay for them to feel okay about demanding more money during an economic crisis!? if i were them, i'd be happy with the 6.5 MILLION i already make.

Why not demand a raise, I'd demand one if I was a big reason for the success of my "show" regardless of the economy and what is happening to people who have nothing to do with what I do. If they don't get a raise who gets the money? Oh that's right the big wigs at NBC and **** Wolfe. It's not like if they don't get the money it goes to the homeless or the unemployed.

The show can't win its time slot anymore maybe their the problem not the solution.

People seem to think just because they already make 6.5 that that is enough. I agree, except they are asking for a raise to make up for some money that they feel NBC robbed them of (back end profits). I would do the same thing if I was in the same position.
