'Gossip Girl' does good: Did you like last night's hour?

Leightonmeester Last week, wasn't thrilled with "Gossip Girl," as I stated in print: "Sigh. I'm sorry, I'm bored! I don't care about Serena's revolving door of dumb boyfriends. The series needs to stick to its regular cast and keep the action there."

And yesterday, they totally did, and it worked. Was it not fun to watch Serena, Blair, Chuck & Nate run around New York City together with a common mission in mind? We got to see some of their long term drama play out amidst the drama of the week... and each story entertained.

First of all, love seeing Chuck and Nate both in love with Blair. Huge props to Leighton Meester for that stunning scene with the Basshole. When her eyes filled with tears, I actually believed she was bruised. Her pain over him was apparent.

As for the drama of the week, I found myself invested. Why? Because Poppy Lifton is a hateable character. You want to see her pay for what she's done, no?

I agree. Much better this week and for all the reasons you stated.

That being said, though, I've started to realize recently that as much as I enjoy this show, Chuck & Blair are pretty much the only things it has going for it. The other characters are all either boring or never really have anything to do. And a lot of the actors, while attractive to look at, have the screen presence of a houseplant.

Last night's episode was great and I just loved that ending. "The b**** is back"!! I knew Georgina couldn't stay that sweet for very long.

Leighton was just fantastic! It was certainly her finest moment on the show...her acting was great!! I did think that Ed could have shown a little more emotion, though. I wanted to see some tears well up in those adorable, gaze-worthy eyes. Normally he dominates scenes with his presence, but in that scene, it was all Leighton. You can tell she's grown over the past two seasons. CB are what make GG, no doubt. Speaking of, while I am interested in No Doubt's comeback, I'm less than thrilled with all of this 'Valley Girls' business. I want the prom, not the Valley. No CB in the new promo also was a disappointment. What were they thinking? Or maybe (hopefully!)...what are they hiding?

someone please give armie hammer his own show. like him on gg, loved him on reaper-so sad to see him go

The bar scene was the highlight for me. Leighton was absolutely amazing. I felt like crying for her. Blair has suffered so much this season, that it just frustrating! The girl needs the love!

Props to Leighton! She is the best actress on the show.
