TwitterCourteney Cox's 'Cougar Town' picked up by ABC
With a season nine pick up for "Scrubs" very likely, it's looking like creator Bill Lawrence will have two series on ABC this fall.
Insiders tell me Courteney Cox's "Cougar Town" has just gotten the official green light for fall.
And, bonus, the new project from Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg and Andre Nemec ("Life on Mars," "October Road") has reportedly been picked up as well.

Awesome news. I love Courteney, and as an added plus, I get Busy Philipps as well!!
I'm looking forward to both too...and with the Castle renewal (currently!) ABC can do no wrong with me...of course bringing back Eli Stone would be a whole lot more "right" but for now, I am just going to celebrate the good news of next season!
Any news on Better Off Ted? It's ABC's best comedy.

Good news for Courteney, but PLEASE change the name of the show! She's too young to be a cougar! Something like "All Over Again..." or "Square One", something. Cougar is so overdone as a term.
