Austin Nichols' Julian returns to 'One Tree Hill' permanently

Julian popped back into Tree Hill last night for Lucas and Peyton's wedding and it seems his flight back to L.A. has been delayed indefinitely.

The actor who plays him, Mr. Austin Nichols of "John From Cincinnati" and "Friday Night Lights" fame, stopped by the book signing of "Supernatural" fan favorite Jim Beaver yesterday evening and was overheard telling former "Deadwood" star Peter Jason -- whom he filmed an ep of "Cincinnati" with -- that "One Tree Hill" has signed him to series regular status. He said he'll be appearing as Julian in at least nine episodes next season.

So, thoughts?

Think Julian's the right guy for Brooke?

The leading men are looking up already, with this news. Which, of course, is "old" news reported weeks ago. But still, no Chad and more Julian (if they give his character more of the smarminess he brought orginally, instead of just making goo-goo eyes at Brooke) is a good thing.

You didn't really need to do any kind of espionage to get this info--it was reported in the trades weeks ago. I like Julian, but they need to stick a fork in this show. Especially now that CMM & HB aren't coming back.

A great move for the show. Julian has been the best thing about One Tree Hill this season and Peyton was again the worst. When it comes to CMM, I could take him or leave, but mostly leave him. This show can take another step forward if only they get rid of Mouth and Millie.

I think Brooke and Julian are great together and I am excited to see them together next season. He is much better for her than Lucas and Owen were. Lucas and Peyton were getting boring so I can't say i'm too sad to see them go.

I'd MUCH rather see STEPHEN COLLETTI as a regular and get more screen time... his character has potential than we see
