TwitterCould 'The Hills' Stay Alive Without Lauren Conrad?
Reality TV star Lauren Conrad announced her "retirement" from The Hills last week, but that doesn't necessarily mean the MTV moneymaker will shut down when she departs.
As first reported by my friends at latimes.com, an insider is now saying the cable network will seriously consider continuing The Hills sans Conrad. Existing cast members Audrina Patridge, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag would stay on. And assuming Brody Jenner's sad vehicle Bromance doesn't get a second season, we can probably count him in too.
L.C.'s final 10-episode season -- yes, MTV has reconsidered their branding of the next cycle of episodes as "bonus" -- will bow on March 30th.
Comments? Concerns? Can The Hills continue without Lauren Conrad? I say, of course, yes. The sex tape drama supposedly started by Spencer Pratt is the reason The Hills hit tabloid status in the first place. And his continued D-bag antics have kept the show on that level ever since. As long as he sticks around, I think The Hills will be just fine for at least one more season.
Here's a thought: L.C.'s Laguna Beach nemesis Kristin Cavallari. What's she up to these days?

Everyone I know only watches it for Lauren. The show was created around her and should end when she's done with it. MTV can create a new show with these leeches.
Lauren hasnt been exciting snce season 1 andmaybe the beginning of season 2..eversince then everyone i know watched it for brody and spencer so the show can totally go on without lauren
the other castmates are the ones who have kept the show going by creating drama not lauren so def the show can survive without her.. shes become a fluff character
Lauren is the only truly likeable character on that show. I will not watch without her but I think she should do one more season after these 10 episodes so the show can end with everybody going their separate ways.
I get better drama by following my Facebook friends than any of these staged reality shows. I guess they employ writers at least, so that's good.
I'm over The Hills. I only watched because of Lauren and Lo anyways.
MTV should give Justin Bobby his own show instead!
I don't think I could possibly watch without Lauren on the show. She is the only one who forms complete sentences when she speaks.
Lauren is boring. The show never should had been centered around her in the first place. It'll do fine without her.
What are you talking about, Lauren is totally a part of what makes the show something that I want to watch! She is awesome and I am with "A" she is the only one who speaks in complete sentences. Haha.
LC is so damn sexy and hot!!! she is the only reason i jerk off to this show whenever it comes on!! if she leaves i will have to jerkoff to Heidi!! yuck!!
