Why not start the week with another quickie Q&A? I've got Office scoop and some info on ER and Bones as well...

A Dunder-Mifflin business trip to Winnepeg, Canada may act as a nice distraction for M.S. I'm told he's heading north with Andy and Oscar in tow this Thursday. Word is, we'll be getting some good French Canadian jokes out of the whole deal.
Dr. Greene returns to the ER this week!! -Bill
Indeed, and the Anthony Edwards-filled episode is nothing short of heartbreaking. I cried through most of it. As I first reported back in early September, Dr. Banfield (Angela Bassett) and her husband are dealing with tragic death of their child, and Thursday's hour will feature flashbacks of the day he passed away in Trauma One at County General. Dr. Greene was the physician on the case and we'll see him powering through it, though he's supposed to be undergoing a chemo treatment at the time.
Gates and Sam are moving in together?! Any idea how that's gonna go? -P
Seems the Gates-Taggart merger is going swimmingly so far. The words "never been happier" may even be whispered this week... By the way, we have not seen the end of that Iraq war vet whom Gates found on the street last Thursday. That drama is going to be drawn out over several eps.

I'm hearing that early next year, Brennan and Sweets will be run off the road while
investigating the death of a young woman who was in possession of a
valuable movie prop. And for those hoping that Booth will be the one administering a little TLC to Brennan post-accident, don't hold your breath. It seems that Booth will be mostly MIA in this hour, and Agent Payton
Perotta (Marisa Coughlin) will be the one taking his place as Brennan's partner. This has me thinking that Coughlin's sticking around for more than the one ep we were originally told about...
Thoughts? Think there might be a bit of tension/competition for Booth's affection between Perotta and Bones?
Thanks for the Bones scoop! There is going to be sparks beween Booth and Perotta - about time too! Perotta and Brennan fighting over Booth, heck yeah! Booth never gets any love and Brennan on the other, in Season 4, I have started to lose count!
couglin will also be in the hero in the hold episode. so she will definitely be in three episodes.

I will let my love for both you and The Office not let the fact that you called it "Winnipeg, Canada" as opposed to Winnipeg, Manitoba (funny, we never call it Los Angles, America!!) bother me nor worry about the fact that, although there are Franophone Canadians living in "The Peg", it's not really know for being all that "French Canadian". These things will not make Michael Scott's humourous ignorance any less funny though.
Can't wait for that ER...but I will have the Kleenex box ready!!!

I know it's Toronto, Ontario, but I usually say Toronto, Canada. Is that awful?!!

Even a "Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada" would be better but darn it all, that would be awfully knit-picky of me to ask, wouldn't it?!
And I agree with you because you need to make sure that all of your many fans around the world know exactly where you mean!
(and btw, I love me some HIMYM and classic Simpsons...both of which frequently rag on Canada...so bring it on Dunder-Mifflin...you know we'll love you for it!!)

For a guy, tears streamed down my face when watching Abby's 'The Book of Abby' last appearance on the show. I'm still a huge fan of ER and am going to miss this show. It will be akin to loosing someone very close to you. I've heard that George Clooney may make an appearance. The writing and the acting is still superb and IMHO - Grey's Anatomy has nothing on ER. Thanks Michael Crichton!!!!!!!!!!!

(I literally sobbed when Pratt died...and I wasn't even a huge Pratt fan! And no worries, my George will be back...and knowing the relationship between ER and the NBC Promo Department, the latter will probably spoil that surprise for the former!)

jeff | Nov 11, 2008 2:35:32 PM | #I'm so excited about the office coming to canada I just wish it was set here in Vancouver, not Winnipeg (it's too cold there and boring----sorry winterpeggers :S) but oh well. I'm slightly hesitant about the jokes that will be made. I'm all for them if they're 'classic office style jokes' but for some reason, when any shows does 'canada' it always seems to come off as rude and stupid. but i'm sure they will do a great job. also,i'm a little surprised at there being french canadian jokes about winnipeg. yeah there are francophones living there but they aren't known for that at all. i mean not at all---i never think winnipeg---ahh french canadians but i'm sure it'll be entertaining.
