Exclusive: Heidi & Spencer To Guest Star on 'How I Met Your Mother'?!
Well, kids, have I got a story for you... seems Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of Hills fame are looking to add a few acting roles to their resume and a reliable source tells me one of our favorite sitcoms is very close to making that happen. I'm hearing Heidi and Spencer may cameo in an upcoming How I Met Your Mother episode, which would likely air sometime in December. Word is, their scene(s) would be with Marshall (Jason Segel), which
they're psyched about, being big Forgetting Sarah Marshall fans. Besides,
what's good enough for Britney Spears is certainly good enough for a blossoming pop star like Heidi, riiight? And with sworn nemesis Lauren Conrad popping up on both Privileged and Greek in the last two weeks, it is high time Speidi showed her up, no?
Now, I've yet to receive confirmation from the network or the studio on this rumored Speidi guest spot, but I'm working on it and will update you shortly. In the meantime, tell me, what are your thoughts on this supposed stunt casting? Would you be okay with the reality TV power couple showing up on HIMYM for a funny cameo?
Not ok.
Frankly, I would lose a lot of respect for the show's creators and producers.
I find it doubtful that those two clowns could add anything positive to the show.
I hope to everything holy that this does not come to pass. I have no idea why these people are famous, have never seen any of their shows, and don't get their appeal. I guess I should be happy for anything that will bring a ratings boost to my beloved HIMYM, but at the expense of the show's integrity? I hope the powers that be know what they are doing.
Ashleigh | Nov 4, 2008 2:46:44 AM | #No, I like the idea. The HIMYM writers always know how to make things work, I bet they'll work Heidi and Spencer in in some really funny way.
KJ | Nov 4, 2008 3:37:34 AM | #Its a terrible idea!!!!
britney was one thing... we worked well with the storlines she was in..
but i dont want to see those two dimwits on such a smart sitcom like himym!
Neil | Nov 4, 2008 6:51:27 AM | #This is the worst idea ever
bronger7 | Nov 4, 2008 7:50:42 AM | #There is no way I will watch an episode with these two douchebags. Bringing on guest stars is one thing, bringing in obnoxious F-listers that can't act is another.
Emily | Nov 4, 2008 8:24:21 AM | #I'm okay with it. The Hills is my favorite show.
Pen | Nov 4, 2008 8:30:40 AM | #As long as its just a cameo, I'm cool. I'm sure himym producers know what they're doing.
Mel | Nov 4, 2008 8:49:14 AM | #What the f?!
(now I have to go back and read beyond the headline!!)
Kath | Nov 4, 2008 9:04:59 AM | #Ok...so we need more details before we continue to scream out in a sick mix of horror and delight but I think that as long as it is just a CAMEO and they can somehow insult them (c'mon it's Speidi and it's HIMYM, the one will be two dumb to understand that the other has brilliantly scewered them!) I think that it might be ok.
What are your thoughts Korbi? Yay or nay?!
Kath | Nov 4, 2008 9:07:54 AM | #EMILY & RACHEL:
Ditto!
...and oh p.s. I realize that I am appear pretty stupid myself due to my obviously poor spelling skills! ("two" instead of "too"...good grief!)
Kath | Nov 4, 2008 9:09:36 AM | #I can't believe a show like HIMYM would entertain them seriously..Britney Spears was one thing but this is ridiculous..boo
Luz | Nov 4, 2008 9:35:55 AM | #What an obnoxious, no-talent pair, especially Spencer. Do they keep hanging around because people need someone to genuinely hate???
drgma | Nov 4, 2008 10:11:04 AM | #After they dodged the Britney bullet, I don't think anyone can bring this show down!
Mandy | Nov 4, 2008 10:21:52 AM | #No, no, no--a world of No. Those two make my skin crawl. They both have all the personality of a rock--except that's probably an insult to rocks. And Heidi's music "career" is even an insult to Milli Vanilli.
Ali | Nov 4, 2008 10:44:50 AM | #If this comes to pass, I will not watch the episode. Additionally, it will cease to register with me when it comes time to support shows on the bubble, as this one always seems to be. How insulting to this talented cast to stick these dolts into their show.
Scott | Nov 4, 2008 11:11:02 AM | #*vomits*
Katie | Nov 4, 2008 11:23:40 AM | #Honestly, Lauren is the one who has the personality of a rock. Spencer is a scheming jerk, but at least he's interesting. I'm fine with seeing them on the show. Better them than Lauren.
Jen | Nov 4, 2008 11:30:04 AM | #no no no no no
Katie | Nov 4, 2008 12:47:21 PM | #This almost made me scream in agony at my desk! Please NOOOOOOOO!
Kim | Nov 4, 2008 1:00:26 PM | #REALLY!? C'mon Bays and Carter, your ratings are fine and improved from last year. You don't need these reality show fame whores on your show.
JV | Nov 4, 2008 1:18:24 PM | #NOOOOOOOOO! say it aint so! I cant take these two for one minute on ET, or E. In a good series, why ruin it? I hated Britney's appearance, didnt like Lindsay L. on Ugly Betty, & these two no talent mooches (especially spencer) are gonna run me to another channel!! The show has 4+ talented ACTUAL actors...they dont need these gimmicks!
lizouttavegas | Nov 4, 2008 2:59:43 PM | #Please for the love of everything Barney please do not let this come true...This show cannot let Heidi and Spencer on, I tolerated Britney but I cant handle Speidi!!! HIMYM is one of my fav show's and I just can't see what possible storyline they could play that would fit in with the show and I would be okay with...
Manda | Nov 4, 2008 5:01:28 PM | #It's a shame that one of the best comedies on television has to resort to this crap to draw viewers in.
Corey | Nov 4, 2008 9:38:23 PM | #
