Since Olympic gold and silver medalist Shawn Johnson returned from the Summer 2008 Games just a week or so ago, she has been making the TV rounds, appearing on Letterman, Leno and leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democratic National Convention. But don't expect her to disappear anytime soon. Reliable sources tell me the balance beam queen has just booked a cameo role on Summer's newest cable hit, ABC Family's Secret Life of the American Teenager. Johnson is scheduled to tape her acting debut this week, and I'm hearing it will air next Tuesday during Teenager's first season finale. No word on exactly how or why the teenage gymnast will show up in the Secret Life world, but I am told that her scene will involve one of the show's sex-obsessed boys!

Tell me, are you psyched to see S.J. on the scripted show? If you're not already a regular watcher of Secret Life, will you tune in to see Shawn?

The acting is pretty bad, but I am addicted nonetheless. Hopefully having Shawn on will give a boost to ratings.

I like the show as well and I watch it religiously, no pun intended. Shawn's appearance was unexpected. I thought she did a good job delivering her lines. I hope to see her in more acting roles
