You Ask, I Answer: 'Office' Romance, 'Lost' Additions, '9-0' News & More
The Office, Lost, 90210, The Simpsons and Dirty Sexy Money. Your questions, my responses:
Have you heard anything Office-related lately? I'm dying for Dunder-Mifflin gossip, especially romance story type stuff -Krissy
What I'm hearing is that the season premiere will feature two love triangles: Dwight-Angela-Andy and Jan-Michael-Holly (Amy Ryan, the new HR lady). My money's on Dwight winning Angela's heart, simply because he has several science fiction type powers working in his favor. And I've got to give Jan my vote in the latter face off, only because she kind of scares me.
As for everyone's favorite D-M duo, PB&J -- Pam Beesly and Jim -- word is that we can expect some sort of twist concerning the happy couple. I can't say more -- mostly because I don't know much else -- but I have heard that P is off in the big city, working on her art degree, so maybe distance between the two is a factor? I don't know...
Hi Korbi! I love the column and read Zap2it every day. Would love some Lost scoop, no one's said anything in a while. -Carel K.
Yes, that Lost scoop
is hard to come by, but I'm told producers are now looking to cast
two important recurring characters -- who they're currently calling
Caesar and Ilanna -- that could stick around for quite some time.
Caesar is supposed to be in his late 30s to early 40s, totally
mysterious, highly intelligent and quite dangerous -- someone we'll be
very wary of -- while Ilanna will be a bit younger, but have very
similar qualities. What do you make of this?
Is it really true that Tori Spelling is pulling out of 90210? Too sad!! -Char
Yeah, I guess the network and studio offered Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth more cash per episode and Tori wasn't having it. However, if the show is a hit this Fall, things could turn around. We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, we'll have plenty of Brenda-Kelly tension to keep us happy. I'm told that Doherty and Garth are down to make fun of their reported real-life rivalry, and they'll definitely have several fun scenes together. Scary how excited I am for this...
Hey, thanks for The Simpsons video today. I can't believe it's been 20 years. Do you know if they're planning on another movie? -Rob
Indeed, they are, but it won't be for some time. The first film took
four years to do, so we've got quite a wait ahead of us. In the
meantime, you might want to satiate yourself with a trip to Universal
Studios in Orlando or Hollywood. The show runners say that The Simpsons
Ride which opened a few months ago is like being inside an episode. In
fact, they're calling it a lost episode of sorts. They got most of the
show's actors to lend their voices to it and employ 3-D animation to
make you feel like you're actually in Springfield.
Do you know if Dirty Sexy Money is coming back? -Gina
It is, and so is Dan Rather. I guess the former CBS anchor who guested in the series premiere will run a Senate election debate between Patrick Darling (William Baldwin) and his opponent, a female candidate who could have a lot in common with Hillary Clinton.

Thanks for The Office info. I hope they bring back some of the funny they lost in the past two seasons. I'm talkin' Season 2 funny! That's what they need.
Chris | Aug 11, 2008 3:33:49 PM | #Shouldn't Tori be able to ask for more money than the other two? I mean, isn't she more of a celebrity today than Shannen and Jennie? With her pregnancies, father's passing, crazy relationship with her mom, and she has her own reality show? What have Jennie and Shannen done lately? I feel like you never see them anywhere in the tabloids recently, right? Maybe it goes back to who was a bigger star on the original series, but doesn't completely make sense to me.
jmb | Aug 11, 2008 5:45:37 PM | #I think that Tori Spelling got offered less money because she is such a media magnet. We see her everywhere (even when we don't want to) and she wanted to do the show from the minute it came out. Whereas the other two aren't all over everything and therefore are a little harder to get. That and they will drum up more attention for the show, where as we are all not surprised to see Tori Spelling yet again.
Mandy | Aug 12, 2008 6:40:11 AM | #Mandy makes sense. I think she's right, but I'm still sorry to see Tori go. Would be way better WITH her!!
P | Aug 12, 2008 6:47:59 AM | #Tori can't act...that might be the reason.
Spike | Aug 12, 2008 8:12:57 AM | #Awwww-fice scoop, awwwwesome!
Freddie | Aug 12, 2008 4:57:08 PM | #Spike, u r dead right mate - couldn't have said it better myself!
Mandy | Aug 12, 2008 11:47:07 PM | #Spike, u r dead right mate - couldn't have said it better myself!
More importantly..... YIPPEE more Office stuff :O)
Mandy | Aug 12, 2008 11:48:25 PM | #Sorry for the double post and also, I'm a different Mandy to the other Mandy.
Mandy | Aug 12, 2008 11:49:28 PM | #Spike has the answer. Daddy is dead, so no one else would give her a job
Tom | Aug 15, 2008 11:55:00 AM | #Take care of it and keep it on the road!
