Yes, Brenda Walsh (aka Shannen Doherty) will be back home in Beverly Hills this Fall, joining fellow 90210 vets Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and Joe E. Tata in the old zip... but Doherty isn't the latest 9-0 alum to finalize a return deal. Reliable sources tell me Ann Gillespie, whom you may just know as Jackie Taylor, will be reprising her role as Kelly's mom.

I've got to say, I'm giddy about it. No true 90210 fan will ever forget the mother-daughter fashion show in season one, where we found Jackie blowing lines in the women's bathroom. Of course, her courtship (not to mention her marriage and eventual divorce) with David's dad Mel was just as exciting. As I'm sure you remember, a baby girl named Erin Silver was the product of that union, and since we do know that there's a female high school student who calls herself "Silver" on the spin off series, I'm so thinking that she is Kelly and David's half-sister, all grown up. Certainly, the return of Ann Gillespie is a good sign if that's what you're hoping too...

I can't wait to check this show out! I'm so excited to see all the old familiar faces. I wish they could get some of the boys to come back, but I have a feeling that won't happen. Although never say never because I didn't think they'd get SD back.

Yeah, all the boys are doing sooooooooo well with their careers, they couldn't afford to come back and shoot an episode or three of the series which gave them a career in the first place.

I'll be so happy if Silver turns out to be Erin. I know that wasn't the original plan but it makes so much more sense and is a way better hook for a spin-off.

If Silver is Erin, that would be the perfect link for new show and the original. That would allow original characters to come over and seem more natural. Verrrrry interesting news!

Maybe Daphne is her middle name. I wonder again what year was Erin born? because I think that she would be a student at West Beverly by now. It wouldn't make sense that she is walking those halls and is not mentioned anywhere... ESPECIALLY with her sister being the guidance counselor there.

Wow - with another original cast member being signed on every day practically, will they have enough room for the new cast??? Hey, maybe the PTB can lure all the old gang and just keep Lori Loughlin! I'd watch! I hope they don't entice Tiffani Amber Thiessen or Vanessa Marcil...not such a fan of those 90210 years.

And Sean, I think Ian Ziering would JUMP at the chance to come back but I doubt he's been asked...he'd need to bring back his wife and kid (not everyone can show up sans spouse and offspring) so that's a lot of extra folks in the zip code...

Priestly won't do it, which leaves only "Sideshow" Luke as a viable made candidate. The whole point of bringing favorites back is to re-form a "supercouple". No one cares about Kelly hooking up with anyone but either Brando or McKay. Add Brenda to the mix and you have to "pay McKay".

You're all right. The bottom line is that the "old" cast is grabbing (stealing?) all the headlines. No disrespect to the new kids, but with every original cast member announced as coming back, 90210 fans pine for a full-fledged reunion. The "old" cast will be hard-pressed to find an opportunity better than this - and The CW should take advantage of that fact. It could be the show that puts the Net on the map - just like the original series did for Fox.

Okay, I'm totally gonna geek out right now - Erin Silver was born in the summer of '92 - the summer Brenda/Donna went to Paris and Kelly/Dylan hooked up. That would make her 16 today - the perfect age to be at WBHS. If they don't make "Silver" Erin Silver they are wasting huge opportunity. Hanna Zuckerman-Vasquez was born a few years later, Andrea got pregnant their first year of college which was 94/95 so Hanna should be there too. So crazy, I hope the writers take advantage of this. But Andrea moved off to the East Coast to go to med school so who knows....
