Cast_itsalwayssunnyinphiladelphia_s As I first reported last week, though the fourth season of the ridiculously funny FX series It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia doesn't debut till Sept. 18, FX execs have already committed to additional episodes. In fact, this morning network president John Landgraf told critics at Press Tour that FX intends to produce 39 more episodes of It's Always Sunny, in addition to the 13 that are currently in production. That means we can look forward to 52 new half hours of the show, which will keep Paddy's Pub in business until at least 2011.

Landgraf noted that Sunny has had significant ratings growth each year since it debuted in 2005 and consistently ranks among the top series downloaded on iTunes and Hulu. If you haven't yet sampled the show, I suggest you start with season one's finale, titled "Charlie Got Molested." It guest stars a man you may know as Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) and will give you a pretty good idea of why FX is holding on to the gang.

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is frequently hysterical. Kudos to FX/FOX for their huge vote of confidence in the show.

I'll be the first to admit that I have only seen a few episodes of this show. Not a smart move, since this is one of the funniest shows ever.

I am a big fan of It's Always Sunny and it is probably one of the funniest comedies on the air. I just love some of the weird and completely random things they do on the show. I am so glad that FX is putting confidence into the show.

Hubby and I love Sunny, too! Praise the DVR since we often have to pause or rewind because we're laughing so hard!

FX is awesome! This is such a great show, despite being extremely crude, yet still unrentlessly funny. Hopefully, the show will continue to increase in viewers and maybe get some Emmy attention. This show is funnier and better than most of the comedies nominated. FX really does have pride in its shows and stands by them.
