If 'Jericho' Was To Live On...

By Korbi Ghosh

Had CBS decided to renew Jericho for a third season, this is the alternate ending we would've watched back in March. Thoughts?

Oh, how I wish they would have shown this ending instead. I love the idea of Jake and Chavez teaming up to save Hawkins. And, I loved seeing Hawkins face off with Valente. Awesome ending. Let's keep praying that we get more Jericho in the future.

It would have been nice to see the Hawkins cliffhanger and Daniel Benzali's character explained a little bit more. Chris Kramer would also make an interesting addition to the regular cast if the show gets picked up for another season or a movie.

Needless to say, the civil war story should definitely be told.

The fight to save Jericho is not over!

If you want more Jericho please write to: Ms. Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604-2190.

CBS Paramount is in talks with other parties to continue Jericho and they want to hear from the Jericho fans.

The alternative ending leaves a lot up in the air. Jut a thought, what if the Texas Government was behind the J and R scheme all along and they fooled Jake and Hawkins into giving them the bomb . Either way I sure would like to see Jericho back as a regular weekly show or as a movie.

Season one was fantastic. Season two suffered from a significant budget cut, but was still compelling television. It would be wonderful to see the series come back, but it suffered from poor ratings the first season, and even worse the second season. It is highly unlikely we will see it return. Even with the cancellation already known when the final episode aired, the alternative ending would have somehow been more satisfying to me.

My thoughts exactly!! They should have aired this episode whether they were going to continue the story of Jericho or not!! They were too fast with trying to wrap it up and made the season two finale look silly in comparison to season ones finale. I still liked it but not as well as the alternate ending!!! Long live Jericho and the fight for season three is still on!

"It's over Prime." -Megatron
No nuts, no tobasco, no Mo"skeet"o repellent. Nothing. We had our shot to save the show and came up short. Be proud of the 2 "seasons" we got. Better than 10 seasons of According to Jim.

I didn't know Jericho was going off the air (Not again) I unfortunately was working out of town for the last episode. There haven't been many episodes but I have waited patiently to see them. I am extremely disappointed that another good show is being pulled. Can't the writers dream up some way to keep the show going and interesting? Another one bites the dust.

I think Jericho will rise again!!!

Networks must not realize that people are now choosing in advance not to get into a show FOR FEAR that it will get cancelled, and be left with not getting closure.
Solution: Networks must get a reputation for "at least" airing a 2-hour movie to wrap up any series about to be cancelled - in order to provide a satisfying ending!!

Let's see season 1 and season 2 re-ran for all new fans, substitute the alternate ending (keeping, "how does it feel to make history" as part of the script) and then move on to season 3. We are ready for the Jericho story to be continued! There is a lot more to be told.

Jericho Season 3!

I thought I starting to get over the loss of Jericho. This brings it all back again.

Korbi - Have you seen the GIGANTIC Billboard that the fans have up in Studio City? Ironic that it is a CBS billboard! And be on the look out for the TV commercial that is starting up this Friday on Time Warner on most LA Stations to save the show. We the fans are not done with getting back our favorite show - Not by a long shot!!

When Jericho once again rises from the ashes, I'm perfectly willing to forget all about the ending CBS originally aired -- just pretend I never saw it -- and commence Season 3 from this original ending. But with either ending, there is plenty more story to be told. Bring it on - Please.

Mswldflwr | Jun 11, 2008 5:48:09 PM | #

I loved the alternate ending because it does leave a lot up in the air and it's better done than the one CBS aired. I can't believe all the fans have done to bring back Jericho again... Amazing, no audience for advertisers, but these folks are spending major money to get the show back! I think the Network shortchanged their advertisers in taking the show off the air. Pity, the advertisers could have had that money in product for their commercials. Doesn't make sense to me.

NightShade10 | Jun 11, 2008 6:01:31 PM | #

I love that "ending". And I can't wait to see what happens when some smart network picks up Jericho for a season three.

mpbnice | Jun 11, 2008 6:06:56 PM | #

OMG ... CBS sucks! This would have been a much appropiate ending to the one we saw back in March ... even though they already cancelled it, this would have been much more fun!

Erwin | Jun 11, 2008 6:14:01 PM | #

I have not given up on Jericho. Somehow our wonderful producers and all of the Rangers will bring it back. This ending just makes me want it back NOW!

P.S. I miss Jericho!

swenciler | Jun 11, 2008 6:20:00 PM | #

When Jericho is picked up for a third season, I hope that Season 2 will be re-shown with this original ending and Season 3 will go forward from there. But there is still plenty of story left to tell with either ending.

Selini44 | Jun 11, 2008 6:26:50 PM | #

This is the ending that should have been shown. I can't believe that we left Hawkins sitting in Loomer Ridge prison, Jake and Chavez defintely need to go get him. I want more Jericho, because there is still more story to tell. Keep up the fight Rangers for season 3.

OKJhawkgirl | Jun 11, 2008 6:36:22 PM | #

I for one have decided that the very next thing that I watch on CBS will be a new episode of Jericho...if there never is a new one then it will be a cold day in hell before I watch that channel again.
