Quick TV Fix: Scoop on 'Scrubs,' 'Prison Break,' 'Heroes,' 'HIMYM' and More

Bummed about a few of your TV favorites getting the boot this week? Console yourself with a little scoop on some of the series that are coming back...

Jennifergarner_alias_240_003Scrubbing In: Now that Scrubs is officially on ABC's midseason schedule, the series is looking to kick festivities off with a major star. Names such as Jennifer Garner (photo, left) and John Cusack are being considered to replace Kelso as Chief of Medicine for the eighth season's first three episodes, though nothing's been decided as of yet.

Wentworthmiller2_prisonbreak_s3_240 A Break from Prison?: When Prison Break returns, the majority of our main characters won't be behind bars, though I hear it's just a matter of time before we see Michael arrested again. What else can we expect? T-Bag trying to flee the country, Whistler and Gretchen working together closely and Scofield  (Wentworth Miller, photo, right) starting the long process of getting his full body tattoo removed! You know what that means... more shirtless Michael scenes.

Christinaapplegate3_samanthawho_s1_A Man for Sam: Todd Who? Samantha (Christina Applegate, photo, left) will soon have several new male specimens to mull over. Word is three dudes with romance potential -- a doctor, a suit and a slacker -- will join the show next season.

Hero or Villain?: Producers are currently looking to cast a new, pivotal character for  Heroes' third year. The role? A highly intelligent, retired attorney who can charm his way out of anything.

Jasonsegel_howimetyourmother_s3_240How Marshall Gets His Job Back: Groveling. How I Met Your Mother's unemployed attorney (Jason Segel, photo, right) will soon reach the point of desperation and fall to his hands and knees for a second chance at his former firm.

Doctor's Office Romance: Sean's new Nip/Tuck lady will be an anesthesiologist at McNamara/Troy. No worries, she won't be replacing Liz. Just pitching in.

Wha? Jen in Scrubs? hmm

I think Garner as chief of medicine has way more potential than Cusack. Watching Dr. Cox struggle to take orders from her would be hilarious.

I would prefer Jennifer over John in Scrubs. I think because I just don't buy him in a doctor's coat and I think her humor is more suited to the show then his.

Michael will get arrested again on Prison Break??? Jeez, I hope he's allowed to enjoy his freedom for awhile. I can't handle another prison story line.

Jennifer Garner on Scrubs would be great. I can just imagine all the "wink, wink" jokes they can come up with. Also, it would be intersting to see a female Chief.

Another Hero?! I guess the powers to be are planning on losing a BUNCH of originals. (Or a bunch of originals are getting too big for their pants).

what is it with scrubs and people who appeared on felicity?

jack | May 14, 2008 2:30:03 PM | #

Who, besides Scott Foley and Keri Russell? Well, I guess those two are enough. Oh, wait, Donald was on Felicity too. Haha.

Scoop on some of my absolute faves (including Marshall...HOORAY!!!) Thanks Korbi!

And I can just imagine John C. McGinley and John Cusack (his neighbour and possible original girl-name victim???!!) bantering at Sacred Heart!

And I hope that Samantha gets lots of hotties...maybe Jason Dohring could be one of them?!!

Sydney Bristow as Chief? How awesome would that be...I so doubt it would happen. I can't see JG coming back to TV anytime soon, but still fun!

I haven't been watching Scrubs for a while, but if Jennifer Garner was on it - I'd be back in a flash.

Jennifer Garner as the new Chief of medicine?! I want it! I want it now! That would be legen - wait for it - dary!

John Cusack on Scrubs would be brilliant particularly due to the real-life friendship between him and John C. I can see them playing off one another with fantastic results.

Amy | May 15, 2008 6:12:18 AM | #

John Cusack hasn't done anything funny (or much at all actually)in too long. That would be a stroke of genius to get him into "Scrubs". I might start watching again.

FRAKKING HELL!!

KATEE SACKHOFF to join the cast of NIP/TUCK as the new anesthesiologist. Check her (or the shows) imdb page for more evidence.. Good call!!
