NBC has reached the end of an era. Tonight, they'll bid farewell to Dr. John Dorian and friends with an epic episode of Scrubs. An homage to one of Zach Braff's favorite films, The Princess Bride, 'My Princess' does not provide resolution to the seven-year series, since Sacred Heart's storyline will live on via ABC next season (nice move, McPherson).

Still, the subject of of J.D. and Elliot's "almost kiss" in the on-call room last year does come up. In fact, it's a pretty integral part of tonight's storyline, as is the smoke monster from Lost. Okay, maybe it's not the exact same smoke monster from Lost, but it certainly bares a resemblance.

Scrubs should have been given the respect it deserves on the channel that picked it up. NBC should have let it run it's course and have had a proper finale this year. Of course I will be watching it on ABC, but it won't be the same. It started on NBC and should have ended on NBC. NBC really messed up on this one I believe.

Why was this episode saved for the "finale"? It clearly was not meant to be, as Dr. Kelso was still on staff, they were still referring to the Elliot/Keith break up as recent, etc... While I really like this episode, I though last week's seemed more of a "finale-like". Maybe NBC just doesn't care because they know the show isn't really over, just moving networks?

I agree that the "finale" had more of a feel of a February sweeps episode (as it was probably intended to be pre-writer's strike) and that last week's episode where Kelso leaves Sacred Heart on his terms (and perhaps Bill Lawrence leaves NBC on his!) was much more of a season ender. Still, I really enjoyed the fairy tale episode and am very grateful to ABC (a great network that will surely also pick up October Road and Eli Stone...fingers & toes crossed!!!) for continuing to tell the tales of Sacred Heartieth!
