Joanrivers_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 I have to hand it to "The Celebrity Apprentice" -- two years in a row they've managed to work out a final pairing that has good battling evil, right battling wrong, darkness battling light. Last year, the bad guy, Piers Morgan, wiped the floor with the good guy, Trace Adkins. Would the Dark Side, this year in the form of Annie Duke, strangle the good, represented by Joan Rivers? Or, would Rivers be able to work some sort of Jedi mind trick on The Donald, convincing him that she was the stronger candidate?

Joanrivers_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 Last week, Joan Rivers allegedly quit "The Celebrity Apprentice." She huffed and she puffed and she stormed out of Trump Tower. She still wasn't present when the show began this week. The million dollar question was "would she return?"

Joanrivers_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 Those folks over on "The Celebrity Apprentice" seem to be taking the whole show awfully seriously. The venom and bile and hatred that spewed tonight from all directions was quite impressive. I'm not sure whether to be amused by it or disgusted.

Joanrivers_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 Over the years there have been a number of big feuds on "The Apprentice," but the fight currently raging between the Rivers women and Annie Duke on "The Celebrity Apprentice" might put the rest to shame. And, even if I find myself rooting for Joan, I also think that tonight she probably ought to have gone home.

Annieduke_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 At some point during the past two weeks, the celebrities over on "The Celebrity Apprentice" seem to have finally decided that they know each other well enough to let the gloves come off. We're now getting to see a lot more blatant fighting between them (and not just liquor-fueled rants). Sure, I may quibble with the show not finishing a task tonight, but at least the celebrities have started to play hardball.

Clintblack_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 If I didn't know better, I would have thought tonight's episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice" was some sort of April Fools' edition. There are weeks when the show makes sense, when I understand the task, the way teams approach it, and what happens in the boardroom, and then there was this week, when nothing made sense.

Dennisrodman_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 NBC heavily promoted this week's "The Celebrity Apprentice" as the one where Dennis Rodman has a meltdown... again. It was really a lot sadder than that. This week really just boiled down to Dennis Rodman having a problem with alcohol. More »

Dennisrodman_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 We all saw the promos, NBC spent a lot of time pushing tonight's episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice" as the one where Dennis Rodman has a meltdown. I was hoping for some massive fireworks. Did we get them? Not really, a few sparklers, but no fireworks.

Tomgreen_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 Last week Donald Trump eliminated Scott Hamilton on "The Celebrity Apprentice." I'm still smarting from that move and have been hoping all week to see Tom Green go down in flames tonight. I'm of the opinion that everything Green's said from week one has been a joke, and I have been anxiously waiting the last laugh being on him.

Scotthamilton_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 Previously on Celebrity Apprentice... Athena, the women's team, got a huge donation from Brande Roderick's contacts and sold $61,257 worth of cupcakes. Joan, as project manager, won $126,000 for God's Love, her charity. Good for her. The Thing That Ate Andrew Dice Clay went after Herschel Walker on the men's team but "Dice" was ultimately fired due to apathy. Shocking. Who will be fired tonight? More »
