Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' delves into the history books with Cameron
It may seem a little incongruous to have a Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles episode start at a New Year's Eve speakeasy party with a bunch of flappers, but that's exactly what we were treated to tonight. It all seemed so great and special, right up until a fire began and everyone started running for the exit. That sort of thing puts a damper on parties, even New Year's Eve ones.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' reveals Jesse's plan
Last week on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Sarah had some dreams. This week, it was Ellison's turn. Maybe next week we'll be treated Cameron dreaming. Anyone want to guess if her dreams are of electric sheep?
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' goes searching for Charlie Fischer
I'm not entirely sure that Sarah Connor having visions is a good thing, her stress factor is pretty high already, and visions are the sort of thing that could push her over the edge. But tonight on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, visions she had, and they weren't the happy go lucky kind either.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' heads down Mexico way
Tonight's episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles started off with so much promise. It began by constructing a single larger story from multiple points of view – we got a little of "Sarah's Story," and then a little of "Cameron's Story," and a little of "John's Story." Eventually, even though they kept throwing up those titles (and adding Ellison and Cromartie to the mix), they'd almost completely abandoned that narrative style, and consequently I'm not even going to start with it in this recap.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' leaves a loose end
When you're eating dinner in your house and somehow also show up at your own door while you're still sitting at the table in the other room, it's probably not a good thing. It's also exactly what happened to Ellison at the start of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles tonight. Poor Ellison, you just knew he wasn't going to be in for a good night.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' gets its head shrunk
Tonight's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles juggled an awful lot of intersecting plotlines. There was John's emotional baggage, Catherine Weaver not being able to convey warmth and affection to her daughter, the Turk learning, Derek meeting an old flame, and oh-so-many other bits and pieces. Even if not everything was answered tonight, the series did just receive a full season pick-up, so the producers now have added time to explore it all more completely down the line.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles": I ran so far awaaaaaay....
I'd like to thank Josh Lasser for entrusting me with this week's recap of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. In order to become the best Terminator recapper he could, he decided to make like John Connor and go undercover at a military school for a few weeks. So you're stuck with me, just for one week. Tonight's episode asked a very important question: can one experience post-traumatic stress disorder from an event that technically hasn't happened yet? That's what Derek Reese worked through as he and John sought to protect a valuable asset from the future.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' goes back to the future
Tonight's episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles delved deeply into how Cameron became Cameron. It certainly opened up many more questions and avenues of exploration than whatever it may have answered. With the multiple flashbacks to the future (that's right, "flashbacks to the future"), it was also a little confusing at times. But, if Back to the Future taught me anything, it's that you roll with punches in these situations.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' builds a better mousetrap
I wasn't exactly hankering for a Charley Dixon-centric episode on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but I guess we were due for one. At the end of last week, Ellison sent Charley and his wife out of town, which we all knew wouldn't last, so it probably is better that they did this episode now rather than waiting a few weeks and trying to convince us that Charley was gone for good.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' is full of carrots and apples
If last week and this week are any indications, I think we could be in for a fun season on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. John wasn't central to the plot this week, and I don't know how I feel about that, but I guess these are Sarah's chronicles, not his. However, I simply don't know what is happening in the future. Tonight's episode started out with some guy from the future appearing in our present complete with a recently placed bullet in his chest. Who in the future sent a guy to the present with a bullet in his chest? What is going on there? How pitched is this battle in the time machine room?
