Floating like butterflies, stinging like bees on 'Private Practice'

By Kiley McMichael

December 05, 07:27 PM

Katewalsh3_privatepractice_abc_240 Things are becoming more and more complex on Private Practice. The secret is out about Sam and Naomi – Addison knows, and as such, everyone is getting the hint. Continue reading »

Addison just needs someone to love on 'Private Practice'

By Kiley McMichael

November 21, 08:23 PM

Katewalsh2_privatepractice_abc_240 This week, it's raining fallout, and it feels like a turning point in Private Practice. Two old relationships are reborn and changed; one for the better, one for the worse, and the one sure thing we thought was coming is seemingly nipped in the bud. Continue reading »

Remember to breathe while watching 'Private Practice'

By Kiley McMichael

November 14, 07:30 PM

It's all about babies and sex this week on Private Practice, in that order, with a gun thrown in for a little drama. And it's not the couple you think it is having the sex, but I'm darn happy about it. Spoilers ahead. Do some Lamaze breathing. In, out, in, out. Three babies, three very different... October 31, 07:36 PM

Katewalsh2_privatepractice_abc_240 Is tonight's episode of Private Practice a trick or a treat? Is it a full-sized chocolate bar in your loot bag, or a rock? Or is it something in between?

'Private Practice': I pity the people in Connecticut

By Kiley McMichael

October 24, 08:56 PM

Katewalsh3_privatepractice_abc_240 Ah, the dream sequence. It's the television writer's greatest tool. It can pave the way for a myriad of possibilities, from the ridiculous to the sublime. Or it can be interrupted, repeatedly by the dreamer falling out of bed. What is Addison sleeping in? A twin?

It's her 'Private Practice' party… she can cry if she wants to

October 17, 07:33 PM

Privatepractice_cast_s1_240 Anyone else feeling like episode four (yes, I'm still counting) finally felt right? It was comfortable, easy paced, and it wasn't trying too hard. It had a nice balance of patient stories vs. character building. It's grown on me. I'm a fan of Private Practice and I'm not afraid to say it. And I may even be looking forward to the absolutely sure thing hookup between Pete and Addison.

'Private Practice': It sometimes rains in southern California

By Kiley McMichael

October 10, 07:44 PM

Katewalsh_privatepractice_240 Ah, episode three of Private Practice, and Addison has hit the wall of realization: you can run from your life but you can't hide. It will catch up with you. It's almost like a tease of the old Addison coming out. She's still smart! No more naked dancing! This is an honest Addison, ready to deal with the life she's planted for herself.

'Private Practice': You can get anything delivered in L.A.

By Kiley McMichael

October 03, 07:32 PM

Katewalsh2_privatepractice_abc_240 Ah, episode two of Private Practice. I approach this week like a great new beginning! It's the new Addison, the L.A. Addison. I'll consent to Addison being reborn! I'll allow her name to be used as a verb, or even a gerund! I, too, will follow in her footsteps, and leave the dreary bog of Seattle behind! The boxes are unpacked, the pictures are hung, and we're settling in, everyone.

'Private Practice': The de-addisonization of Addison

By Kiley McMichael

September 26, 07:29 PM

Katewalsh3_privatepractice_abc_240 The best TV characters (and actors) always have a hook, a charm, a bit that makes them intriguing and magnetic. The best of Addison Montgomery (no Shepherd please) is Kate Walsh's subtlety. When the subtlety is on, and the Best Eyebrows in TV are employed, the effect on the scene is perfect. But ...
