My Name Is Earl

FinaleWatch: 'My Name is Earl'

By Josh Lasser

May 15, 09:59 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240_003 Tonight was the My Name is Earl, hour long, season finale. In my mind, that makes it a time for reflection, a time to look back at all that the season had to offer and lament that Earl spent 90 percent of his time in jail or in a coma. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': It's in the bag

By Josh Lasser

May 08, 07:18 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240_3 After watching last week's My Name is Earl, I was moderately surprised to see a new episode was scheduled to air this week. Earl getting married made me imagine that the season had come to an end. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': Karma plays kupid

By Tamara Brooks

May 01, 09:23 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240_2 I've never asked Karma for much besides smiting my enemies for their bad deeds or that I don't get a parking ticket since I put a quarter in someone's expired meter. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': Weekend at Earl's

By Josh Lasser

April 24, 09:22 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240 I can admit it, I was wrong. There, I said it. Last week I thought My Name is Earl had turned a corner, that the slew of subpar episodes were behind the show, that it would be smooth sailing all the way to the season finale. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': Looking for Mendocino Greeno

By Josh Lasser

April 17, 06:10 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240 My only thought tuning into this week's My Name is Earl, as I imagine it was for most people, was that Earl simply has to wake up. There is no way the show can continue (successfully) with the silly Earl-in-a-coma-thinking-he's-in-a-sitcom storyline. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': You're eating my baby!

By Josh Lasser

April 10, 09:29 PM

Ethansuplee_mynameisearl_s2_240 I think we can all admit it, last week's My Name is Earl did not inspire much confidence in where the rest of the season was headed. The idea of Earl in a coma does not really work on a show that centers on Earl. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': That's so not hot

By Josh Lasser

April 03, 10:27 PM

Ethansuplee_parishilton_mynameisear Well, we've waited long enough, My Name is Earl returned from its strike-enforced hiatus with an hour long episode tonight featuring none other than Paris Hilton. If you think about it, she's actually a pretty good fit for the show because she seems just about as intelligent as Randy. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl': Earl does very bad things

By Josh Lasser

January 10, 08:49 PM

Jasonlee Any episode of My Name is Earl that starts out with Earl having a party for being out of prison is a good one. I'm sorry, it just is. Continue reading »

'My Name is Earl' presents: Prison Prom

By Tamara Brooks

November 30, 12:43 AM

Ethansuplee_mynameisearl_s2_240 Bones gave us Prison Christmas earlier this week and now My Name is Earl brings us Prison Prom. Do you think anyone will cover Prison Arbor Day?

Previously on 'My Name is Earl'

By Josh Lasser

November 15, 09:35 PM

Jasonlee_nameisearl_s2_240 I'm not afraid to say that I don't get why My Name is Earl opened the show tonight the way they opened the show. I don't get the whole season. The prison thing has gone on way too long (hopefully though it will be coming to an end after tonight's episode). Continue reading »

Sibling rivalry on 'My Name is Earl'

By Tamara Brooks

November 09, 12:34 AM

Mynameisearl_cast_s2_240 I was trying to figure out how My Name is Earl would work in the whole Green message NBC has been incorporating in almost all of its shows. I mean, it completely doesn't fit with the rest of the story yet, strangely enough, I think the writers did one of the best jobs of all the shows at addressing it, the clever duckies (just give them their 8 cents already!).

'My Name is Earl' goes for shock and awe

By Josh Lasser

November 01, 09:48 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240_003 I was feeling quite trepidatious heading into tonight's back-to-back episodes of My Name is Earl. The episode in which Camden County's first Cops was on ranks among my top Earl episodes of all time. I was really worried heading into tonight that the nice folks over at the show could be going to the well one too many times.

'My Name is Earl': The new list has arrived

By Josh Lasser

October 25, 09:14 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240 At this point I think My Name is Earl really has to go in one of two directions: either Earl needs to get out of prison or the notion of the list needs to be abandoned. From prison Earl cannot really eliminate items from his list. Sure, he started a new list on his pillowcase tonight, but that's part of the problem, not the solution.

'My Name is Earl': Enter a world of pure imagination

By Josh Lasser

October 18, 09:02 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240_2 Did you watch My Name is Earl tonight? Oh man, if you didn't, you may have missed the single greatest episode the show has ever put out. At least is was until it got a little too sappy towards the finale, but not to worry, we'll get there.

'My Name is Earl': Becoming Earl

By Josh Lasser

October 11, 09:17 PM

Mynameisearl_cast_s2_240 Before tonight's episode of My Name is Earl began, I kept thinking to myself that Earl needs to get out of jail. Sure, a couple of amusing things have happened to our hero while he's been in the clink, and Randy's been a heckuva lot of fun, but isn't it about time Earl got back on track with his list. I don't think that Earl needs to cross something off every week, but seeing him progress in the right direction is always nice.

'My Name is Earl': Make love and war

By Josh Lasser

October 04, 09:09 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240_003 I'm not going to say that on tonight's episode Earl became a snitch or a canary or a fink, rat, stoolie, stool pigeon, informant or a narc, but only because I'm worried that if I squeal I'll get shived when I'm on the chow line.

'My Name Is Earl': Calling prisoner 24601

By Josh Lasser

September 27, 09:52 PM

Jasonlee_mynameisearl_240 You just sit right back, I'd like to tell you a tale. A tale of heartache and woe. A tale of a man who became something less than a man… and something more. A tale of prisoner 28301-016, and his name is Jean Valjean, or Earl, whichever you prefer.
