So, tonight on Las Vegas, Danny McCoy forgot to sign for a money transfer and the Montecito had no cash on hand. When the patrons found out, the entire casino pretty much went ballistic and were one step shy of grabbing pitchforks and torches and attacking Danny. Yeah, that would never happen in the real world.

In what may have been a horribly misguided effort, I have spent the last three days in Las Vegas so that I could recap Las Vegas with a greater sense of its authenticity just for you.

It's been a long time since Las Vegas had a good, old fashioned fistfight. I enjoy it when the show starts off with some fisticuffs, not as much as I enjoy it when Danny brings strippers home to his pregnant wife, but I enjoy it.

I do enjoy a good episode of Las Vegas on a Friday night. I would say that I don't think there is anything scarier than Las Vegas on Halloween, but Las Vegas has a pregnant Delinda Deline, so there is something way scarier on Las Vegas than in Las Vegas. How and why Danny deals with her I cannot fathom.

When a show introduces a new star to there is an obligatory episode or two early on that focus on the new character and reveal something about his past. Usually I'm less than pleased with having to watch such episodes. However, with Tom Selleck being the new star and the enigmatic Cooper being the new character on Las Vegas, I was quite happy to watch. My happiness turned to frustration very quickly though.

Probably it's just me, but every time Las Vegas comes on I think to myself "Vegas, baby, Vegas." I know, that makes me just the sort of tragically uncool person that attends conventions at the Montecito but most definitely does not work there. My life is far too mundane compared to the insanity that takes place under the ever-watchful eye-in-the-sky that always seems to miss the most important moments.

Ah, Las Vegas, where even the window-washers are hunky man-meat. Fear not, those rippling abs become relevant to the plot (sort of) so it's not in any way tasteless -- the Montecito is a classy joint, you know.

Let’s face it, the ultimate question people want answered about tonight’s Las Vegas is how do they get rid of Ed Deline (James Caan) and Mary Connell (Nikki Cox)? I guess people are probably interested in how the whole Sam Marquez (Vanessa Marcil) kidnapped and in a box works out too, and maybe even Delinda’s being so close to an explosion in the Montecito.
