'Las Vegas' plays the ponies

By Josh Lasser

February 08, 08:30 PM

Camilleguaty_lasvegas_s5_240 Oh Las Vegas, you go and disappoint me for weeks on end, and then, just as I've written off the entire season, you decide to get better. Continue reading »

'Las Vegas' drives to the hoop

By Josh Lasser

February 01, 08:40 PM

Joshduhamel_lasvegas_s5_240 I find it so comforting to know that even in the midst of the on-going WGA strike Las Vegas somehow manages to have new episodes week after week after week. Continue reading »

'Las Vegas' gets hitched

By Josh Lasser

January 25, 08:29 PM

Vanessamarcil_lasvegas_s5_240 After two of the most ridiculous episodes Las Vegas has ever subjected us to, I had high hopes for tonight. I hoped that there would be no assassins. I hoped that there would be no disturbing, nonsensical, paternity issues. Continue reading »

'Las Vegas': Who's your daddy?

By Josh Lasser

January 18, 10:57 PM

Mollysims_joshduhamel_lasvegas_240 So Danny is now in all about the miracle of life. He's learning about his forthcoming child, he wants to take parenting classes, and he's talking about nipples in public. Continue reading »

'Las Vegas': So, you're an assassin?

By Josh Lasser

January 11, 11:04 PM

Mollysims_joshduhamel_lasvegas_240 Can you imagine that Las Vegas has produced 100 episodes? Wow, they've managed to come up with 100 episodes of nonsense (more than, really). Continue reading »

'Las Vegas' does some horse-trading

By Josh Lasser

January 04, 09:01 PM

Tomselleck_lasvegas_s5_240 There's something wonderful about Cooper-based episodes of Las Vegas. This wasn't one, but at least he set the plot in motion, and that makes everything better. Continue reading »

'Las Vegas' wishes you a Merry Christmas

By Sarah Jersild

December 07, 11:15 PM

Mollysims_joshduhamel_lasvegas_240 Where would television be without venerable Christmas stories to rip off pay homage to this time of year? Las Vegas goes the "Christmas Carol" route, with Mike Cannon getting visits from the spangled ghosts of Vegas past, present and future ... Continue reading »

'Las Vegas': Crisis management

By Sarah Jersild

November 30, 10:07 PM

Vanessamarcil_lasvegas_s5_240 We're dealing with the fallout from two big events this week on Las Vegas: First, the gas attack and subsequent robbery of the Montecito casino floor, and second, Cooper's firing of Sam. Continue reading »

Dream time on 'Las Vegas'

By Josh Lasser

November 16, 11:38 PM

Joshduhamel_lasvegas_s5_240 So, tonight on Las Vegas, Danny McCoy forgot to sign for a money transfer and the Montecito had no cash on hand. When the patrons found out, the entire casino pretty much went ballistic and were one step shy of grabbing pitchforks and torches and attacking Danny. Yeah, that would never happen in the real world.

'Las Vegas' plays matchmaker

By Josh Lasser

November 09, 11:26 PM

Vanessamarcil_lasvegas_s5_240

In what may have been a horribly misguided effort, I have spent the last three days in Las Vegas so that I could recap Las Vegas with a greater sense of its authenticity just for you.

'Las Vegas' goes out on strike

By Josh Lasser

November 02, 11:25 PM

Joshduhamel_lasvegas_s5_240 It's been a long time since Las Vegas had a good, old fashioned fistfight. I enjoy it when the show starts off with some fisticuffs, not as much as I enjoy it when Danny brings strippers home to his pregnant wife, but I enjoy it.

'Las Vegas': Lemon bars, anyone?

By Josh Lasser

October 26, 11:21 PM

Mollysims_lasvegas_s5_240 I do enjoy a good episode of Las Vegas on a Friday night. I would say that I don't think there is anything scarier than Las Vegas on Halloween, but Las Vegas has a pregnant Delinda Deline, so there is something way scarier on Las Vegas than in Las Vegas. How and why Danny deals with her I cannot fathom.

'Las Vegas': Hangin' with Mr. Cooper

By Josh Lasser

October 19, 11:30 PM

Lasvegas_cast_s5_240 When a show introduces a new star to there is an obligatory episode or two early on that focus on the new character and reveal something about his past. Usually I'm less than pleased with having to watch such episodes. However, with Tom Selleck being the new star and the enigmatic Cooper being the new character on Las Vegas, I was quite happy to watch. My happiness turned to frustration very quickly though.

'Las Vegas': The bikini contest of doom

By Josh Lasser

October 12, 11:22 PM

Vanessamarcil_lasvegas_s5_240 Probably it's just me, but every time Las Vegas comes on I think to myself "Vegas, baby, Vegas." I know, that makes me just the sort of tragically uncool person that attends conventions at the Montecito but most definitely does not work there. My life is far too mundane compared to the insanity that takes place under the ever-watchful eye-in-the-sky that always seems to miss the most important moments.

Las Vegas: You gotta have friends

By Sarah Jersild

October 05, 08:56 PM

Tomselleck_lasvegas_s5_240 Ah, Las Vegas, where even the window-washers are hunky man-meat. Fear not, those rippling abs become relevant to the plot (sort of) so it's not in any way tasteless -- the Montecito is a classy joint, you know.

'Las Vegas': Anything can happen

By Josh Lasser

September 28, 11:17 PM

Lasvegas_cast_s5_240 Let’s face it, the ultimate question people want answered about tonight’s Las Vegas is how do they get rid of Ed Deline (James Caan) and Mary Connell (Nikki Cox)? I guess people are probably interested in how the whole Sam Marquez (Vanessa Marcil) kidnapped and in a box works out too, and maybe even Delinda’s being so close to an explosion in the Montecito.
